Re: TNM CHEATS
That's a bug that was fixed, and as far as I know wasn't reimplemented as a cheat.

Re: Voice & Dialogue not Syncronized
You need to increase the audio latency - it's been quite a long time, but in Kentie's Launcher it is an option.

Great forum (I like it more than Reddit) and TNM still holds up. Had to do it once I read that article.

Re: My video on why the story is better in Dues Ex vs Dues E
While I think you are right - there is far less synergy between standalone elements in DXHR - I think you're being selective with your points. One of the most obvious "the game is rushing you but also telling you to slow down" parts in DX is emails and timers placed on them. On the other side, I thi...

Re: New Vision 2.0 - Deus Ex, AI, and you
I agree that it looks great on character textures. There are some edge cases on Tiffany Savage and Mechs - as they do have some unnatural elements to them (camouflage and mech parts) which might looks even more unnatural after the AI upscaling - which might prove beneficial to the latter, and detrim...

Re: New Vision 2.0 - Deus Ex, AI, and you
First of all, it great seeing you working on NV! Welcome back! Now, the thing about AI upscalers is that it makes everything clearer. It looks great in UNATCO and places that are supposed to look shiny and, well, clear - but it doesn't work well when things are supposed to look grimy and it indeed h...

Re: How has everyone been for the past decade or so?
The last decade was very stressful for me. I return here occasionally because it was always a supportive community and hey, it's a forum that's still online so it's like my daily dose of nostalgia. I finished high school, went to the military, served as a tank driver for 3 years. Worked as a gas sta...

Re: Calling all TNM fans! (New TNM Testing)
It's been very long since I've been involved with the TNM team (immediately as the 1.0.5 works kicked into gear IRL got in the way for me), but it was mainly bugfixes and maps redone by ZP, and it wasn't a completely different experience. That being said a lot of time has passed since then. I recomm...

Re: I want to document this mod, so i have some questions...
My memory isn't perfect, but I'll try and describe it the best I can. You need to find the BLACK ICE terminal in the WorldCorp building, the part above the surface. If memory serves me right it should be on the 2nd floor, past the area with the retinal/hand scanner and the bot - the EMP Pistol/Coron...

DefaultPlayer001 commented in a long forgotten reddit thread that he found 1110 and it seems to be present only in the Mac version. No idea what the changes are, but I imagine it's indeed just 1109 for Mac, because the installer/executable couldn't have been compatible across versions.

Re: Found a HQ rip of the Deus Ex PS2 Orchestral theme
You can compare your tracks with the HD ones using Spek: http://spek.cc/ If you see audio present in different frequencies, then congrats! You found a track containing more data. That data is usually only valuable if it isn't a uniform white noise, but audiophiles will argue that -any- data in -any-...

Re: Editing pre-existing text files, how to ?
No, for those you'd need to decompile DeusExText.u, and maybe DeusExWeapons.u for item descriptions. They can be decompiled using DEED, but that program is kinda dangerous (it wipes the folder you're unpacking to - so if you unpack, for instance, to C:\ it'll try to wipe your drive). Unfortunately, ...

Re: Editing pre-existing text files, how to ?
I suggest you look here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/confix I created this mod a while ago. Fixes a lot of logic errors and scripting errors. The source files also have the .u files decompiled, so both the audio files and the text files are extracted and organized, of which you'd only need the text fi...

Re: TNM 1.0.5 test help
Some maps are being redone from scratch for the complete version of 1.0.5 (or whatever new number). Downtown already has a new version, and so does the Party Zone.
Just an FYI because old map bugs aren't indicative of the new ones (there's also a better UEd, so it's a completely different beast).

Re: Make NPCs sit or crouch
AFAIK sitting is temperamental and is very dependent on the position of both the chair and the pathing node - the npc and the chair need to be aligned just right. Crouching cannot be done on most models because they lack the anims, and therefore the command will do nothing (or most likely won't be t...
