Re: Gamesurge connection problems?
Okay, I'm really getting tired of this. I'm thinking now, because of other recent connection problems, that Verizon is somehow blocking my connection to those (and other) servers/networks. Guess it's a good thing I'm looking into other options. The other day, I tried to download an 89MB file of sour...

Gamesurge connection problems?
Is GameSurge offline? I've tried connecting with KVIrc, as I normally do, and I've been unable to connect for months.

DSTNM - TNM Moded!
I did a search on the forum for DSTNM and came up with nothing, so... Every so often I check out the state of mods on ModDB, and found that TNM now has a Total Conversion mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/dstnm-full-conversion-mod-for-the-nameless-mod Latest news (this month) states that it's buggy, an...

Re: New vision public release #2?
I have been watching ModDB for a while now, and last spring had read some threads that sounded like both HDTP and New Vision were no longer being worked on. If I am wrong, I would like to know, as they both sound like great projects for a great game. Now, after having read the initial post in this t...

Re: Expanding the Inventory - A Joint Venture
Okay, let me rephrase that - where is the messed up coding glitch located? I'd like to see what allowed it in the first place.CorinthMaxwell wrote: I really don't think that we can consider a glitch a "code". Coding error, perhaps, but not a "code".

Re: Expanding the Inventory - A Joint Venture
I suggested a 3-tab inventory for TNM a couple days ago, since they had to do away with the ability to overlap inventory items. In Deus Ex, I had normally overlapped a ton of items, putting items I always left on the belt (or things like medkits and bioelectric cells, which are accessible elsewhere)...

Re: Patch 1.0.4
Okay, since Patch 1.0.4 is out, and the other discussion thread is closed, how about a Patch 1.0.5 request thread?
Okay, I'll shut up now.

Regarding the Quotes game, and coming from a guy who used to play Duke Nukem 3D, From http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem "Hail to the king baby! [reference to Ash's quote from Evil Dead 3]" I'm searching on Google for references, hey, I found one, an interview about Death Rally http://www.1upga...

Oh yeah, I also wanted to complement you guys on the Shadow Code mission. Great suspense in places, and trying to find a place to stick him after you finally got him was wild. My guess is, you could run around with him for as long as your med kits hold out, then when your head's health got to zero, ...

Hey, I tried that trivia game at Sol's, and was amazed at the number of answers I actually knew. And those I didn't, I guessed right about half the time.
Thanks.

Hey guys, I agree, great effect and you pulled it off extremely well. The talking heads made it all the more special. I suppose with a little thought, one might have guessed it had some relation to how mirrors are made. BTW, thanks for that link. I always wanted a way to build a TARDIS, and now I've...

Ever do something stupid in the game? I just did. I finally got the two thugs by the canal both knocked out without the firewalls getting upset (just don't do it when they're too near or they start shooting). That was fine. Problem was, I didn't want wandering NPCs to see the guys laying there and g...

Weapon Coding
Hi, Though I lost the files I had been working on, there was a time when I was trying to do a couple of things in Deus Ex with regard to weapons. Here are a few of the ideas I had, and how well I was able to implement them. Noisy Cricket This was an attempt to modify the PS20 into a custom weapon. A...

Re: TNM SDK ?
In reply to your "how do you do that question" the easiest way would be to replace deusex.ini with your tnm.ini (renamed appropriately) Okay, I read the other post where you said to replace the DeusEx.ini with the TNM one, but, is there a way to do it in the icon link with command-line parameters, ...
