Is your cat a hipster ? I thought baskets were more common.
(On second thought, I won't argue about cats. They are awesome.)

Re: Opinions and evaluations
Not sure if I made myself clear. It does matter how well-informed your opinion is. However, this won't magically turn your opinion into an objective statement. It doesn't matter how well-informed your opinion is
I really look forward to your cat's opinion though.

Well, it's obviously skinnier, but wasn't the original model way more mishapen ? As much as I"m used to the old face I wouldn't argue it has harmonious features I get your point though.

That's because he's got ears now. (And real fingers, though not on his face). It's totally disturbing

Re: Opinions and evaluations
Isn't "judging the worth of the final product" voicing one's opinion about it ? I don't think there is such a thing as a "fair" judgment. Facts may be objective, but judgments are biased. The level of expertise does not matter : for instance, an academic doing a research paper will allegedly try to ...

Re: Films, Novels, and Other Games as Possible DX1 Mods
I agree this may work as well, but Deus Ex's semi-linear approach would fit Watchmen's storyline better imo.
On an unrelated note, what about Minority report, Terminator, Mad Max, Waterworld ?

Re: Deus Ex before final version
Thanks to reverse Image search I was able to find some links for pictures I saved some time ago : 1. http://www.3dnews.ru/games/deusex/ (Unfortunately the pics are VERY low quality). 2. Slideshow with 6 pictures here (some have already been reported I think) http://www.jeuxvideo.fr/jeux/deus-ex/imag...

Re: Game concept
Thanks to you both, I think I got my question answered ! To sum it up, the stalker has enough of a physical presence to move objects like keys and ladders, but this is pretty much all he can do. Also, he is real enough that bullets may harm him, although that won't end up as being a problem for him ...

Re: Game concept
Okay, so basically either you gun him down or you run for your life :p Seems fair enough, I can live without melee combat. Something else came to mind : If I understood correctly you intend to give the player the ability to repair the boat. But, if anyone can repair the boat, then why would the stal...

Re: Game concept
Sounds great! What if the stalker attacked you before you find the rifle though? Or will you script it so that the stalker won't directly fight you unless you've found that rifle? This would make sense story wise — that he gets more agressive when he knows that you know  Also, how about boo...

Re: Game concept
The island you describe sounds pretty much - mind you, in a good way - like a modern version of the lost colony of Roanoke. Except these guys left no journals at all. On a side note, these tombs are looking great (bad choice of words, but whatever). About the gameplay : will the rifle be the only we...
