Re: GMDX Mode- V1 Release

The cake is ready?! :P I'll try it out! Thanks for making this mod Cyber and sharing it with others. I think you're secretly turning Deus Ex into System Shock. So what's next for V2? Breakable weapons? jk ;)

Re: Give Me Deus Ex Mode- testers needed

Hey Cyber. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to create this mod. I'm having fun playing with it. Are you seriously planning o implement the PS 2 version cut scenes? I think that's a great idea.

Re: Give Me Deus Ex Mode- testers needed

Hey Cyber. Nice additions to your mod. I'm having fun watching the NSF shooting the three bullets they have and then make a run from it. They've gotten cheapened with your mod. :o Maybe you should get them better accuracy to compensate. The reaction time was ok in vanilla (at least in my opinion). T...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

Or the Shouldflee command for the turrets if that's possible? Maybe you could make a bonus pack with the bScaryBastard flag for JC. After all it's realistically human to be scared of an augmented half bot. ;) Jk.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

Well the same case goes to the security bots, but still the NPCs attack them anyway or maybe making the NPCs run for escape? Any choice would be better than the vanilla option. I assume a person would react in different ways if surprised by a turret but they won't automatically get the player locati...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

Yeah, I'm going to try for a fairly fast & nasty "can you see the person who shot you/shot your friend", if yay, then behave as normal. If nay, then (if reacttoInjury) start searching vaguely in the direction you've been shot from, or (if distress) start searching where the distressed dude is. Unle...

Re: System Shock 2 2.4 - It's real, and it's awesome.

This is a little sketch I made for the opening sequence (looks really bad :? ) http://i49.tinypic.com/2aetlid.jpg The training area could be much more entertaining as well. They could also make some flying ships passing by just by the street you have to cross to enter the UNN Facility(I'm not sure i...

Re: System Shock 2 2.4 - It's real, and it's awesome.

I think this could be great for a kind of Revision Mod for System Shock 2. At least the parts that doesn't use the map. For example at the beginning when you arrive in that cart. They can make something similar to the Half Life opening but instead with a city scape view and flying vehicles around in...

Re: Give Me Deus Ex Mode- testers needed

I played the second update of your mod and It didn't triggered the explosion. I haven't got to that point with the last update you've sent me. The Paul issue is fixed now and the game-play is way better. I do have an issue with the NPC noticing my presence even when hiding in the shadows but still f...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

I'm very interested about those results Captn Destro. I though I was the only one bothered by the gun shots. What about explosions? It seems that they suffer from the same problem. If an NPC is not close enough to the explosion they completely ignore it. PS: Sorry to spam your thread with non-relate...

Re: Hardcore Mode- testers needed

Be prepared for some surprises, and how are you finding the challenge? Much better than vanilla definitely. I wouln't call it Hardcore, cause the Hardcore mod is really imposible but it definitely feels more realistic than vanilla. It's a shame the player steps and the gunshots are detected the sam...

Re: Hardcore Mode- testers needed

Alright Cyber here's some feedback for your beta mod. ;) - The first thing I noticed is JC still has a med kit on his inventory at the start. (At least in Realistic mode). I think you should get rid of that. -Paul doesn't seem to notice the enemy NPCs even if they're shooting pretty close to him. -T...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

I'll make a note of this and look into it. If that's true, that is pretty strange behavior. Making NPCs attack turrets would probably be a bad idea, since in most cases they wouldn't be able to cause danger, but automagically knowing where the player is isn't good either. Then maybe forcing the AI ...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

1) Strange. Maybe it's because, technically, the player is the instigator of the damage? Hrm... yeah, looking at the code, when an NPC's new enemy is set, they automatically know where that new enemy is, or at least, where they were at the time. Not sure how to improve on that logic for indirect da...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)

To be honest, I wish I had gotten started on something like this a whole lot sooner. It's unfortunate that unofficial patching efforts are only so recent (starting with Deus Ex 2.0, which I believe was started after Shifter was released), because it would be nice if those fixes could serve as the f...
