Re: Congratulations Dave W
Happy Birthday. - Some of you guys must have been modding before you got to high school Bingo. In fact probably most of us, you have a lot of spare time in junior high. I should have started long ago. If I had maybe I'd have something to show for it by now, as was I have no idea what I did with my t...

Re: Happy birthday to Chris the Cynic
Heh, I looked at the prices, all of them. The Glass and Stainless Steel ones sound very desirable but at approx. $1000 and $1350 respectively, it's a bit much  If I actually thought anyone would want to buy one of those I would have taken the time to calculate a profit margin as a percentage i...

Re: Happy birthday to Chris the Cynic
Holy christ that looks like a nightmare. Mind you, I used to solve rubik's cubes by smashing them apart and reassembling them, so I'm probably not the target audience. I'm not sure that the target audience exists anymore actually. Remember what I said about non mass produced one costing ten times a...

Re: UED 2 vs. UED 1
On a similar note, when I tried to load TNM packages in the Deus Ex Editing Pack version of Unreal Ed 2 things went so wrong that I ended up having to do a clean install of Deus Ex just to get the damned thing to run again.
Anyone have any luck getting UED 2 to work with TNM resources?

Re: Happy birthday to Chris the Cynic
Thanks. There has been no celebration of any kind yet (so if you're in the vicinity of southern Maine*, you still have time to show up) but one present did arrive early. It's something I designed myself, but it was built in (I think) the Netherlands (with additional parts from California and somewhe...

I can't take credit. It isn't that you never took anything of mine in the manner you describe, it's just that that wasn't mine. You actually did include an attribution in that article, it says it's by "The Confessor" so based on a few seconds of searching, I think it's by whoever did this . In findi...

Wait. Wishing someone a happy birthday in a language they don't speak? I can do this. (Maybe.)

Congratulations on another circuit around the sun. - Random and useless information follows. You know, if we lived on Neptune* none of us would be one year old yet? I bring this up because it has been a little over one Neptunian year since Neptune was discovered . Clearly we must all argue that it i...

Re: Deus Ex 3 - I'll just leave this here
After all the golden rule of economics is "the customer is king". When he decides to give you the finger you can do nothing against it so you have to care for them or feel the consequences (in your money bag). Only in some settings. This recently came up elsewhere and it was pointed out that there ...

Re: Deus Ex 3 - I'll just leave this here
To anyone who is considering using rape in a conversation not about rape: fuck off. Can we use murder in conversations not about murder? Can i say "Invisible War KILLED the franchise"? Are you going to tell me how we are normalizing murder  ? Do you really want to get into this? Because I hav...

Re: Deus Ex 3 - I'll just leave this here
And in the case of DNF many canceled their order as they've seen how they got raped. Normally I wouldn't comment because, to be honest, I tend to care more about avoiding avoidable confrontation than doing the right thing. That said, since it's the second time it's come up in as many pages: To anyo...

Re: Some aspects of the mod are really bugging me
Trest isn't a blank canvas, he's more like a book with extensive lacuna that the player can fill in in the process of writing the sequel. He's got a history and relationships on a level that JC and characters like him really didn't. People remember him and how he was. You can provide different insig...

Re: Community
I would guess that you could have female monks in general. In Catholicism not so much, though many Catholics (especially but not only female Catholics) are working on that. (At least I'm guessing they are since I assume that the efforts to have female priests would apply to monks as well.) Nun is ba...

Re: Community
Well this reminds me of a thing from a Smothers Brothers routine. It's from "You didn't come in" but since that only makes sense if you've listened to their previous renditions of "I Talk to the Trees" I'll skip over all that and cut to the end. Tommy starts to sing a beautiful sounding song that go...

Bob Page? Might be interesting to see how he functions when he's Everett's understudy, assuming they remember that at this point he is Everett's loyal understudy. There's a lot of stuff where if they do it right it should be good, but I have long since lost faith in their ability to do stuff right. ...
