Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Your response was about what I expected, and I don't really think your wrong to limit the scope of your mod. Still, yes, I think the smaller changes you talked about, or at least some point cost changes, would probably be in scope and desirable.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Since your happy to at least read, I shall expand on skills, on the basis that their should be at least a plausible case for taking any skill to Master. Electronics & Lockpicking: The pricing vs utility of these skills is totally wrong. AFAIK, the vast majority of players take these to trained and t...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Random feedback on skills. Environmental training- the ability to switch off these items is really a big balance change. I think this skill is probably now too cheap, and could reasonably be increased to the same cost as demolitions. Medicine is still of very limited use- it could happily replace En...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Glad to hear you are still working on it. Of course, I've played lots of mods, and I'm sure I still will as a change of pace is always fun. However, this is the one that I consider currently provides the definitive "Deus Ex vanilla+" experience, my base install, and which I recommend to other fans I...

Re: Chinny's monthly Deus Ex newsletter
I haven't subbed because I think it would email me all your posts, not just the newsletters? So I thought I would write here to say I'm reading and thanks for writing, its a useful resource for keeping those of us who spend less time in the community up to date.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Obviously in real terms remote connection and remote transmission of power are radically different but its nanoscience land, add a line to handwave it. This makes the most sense given your stated goal, as at the moment you have basically made the spy drone better than ever for EMP spam. I think you ...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Sorry for the double post, but above was already quite long. I'll possibly edit any new thoughts as I run through here. Spy drone: It really did need the cost decrease to be a worthwhile selection, so the change in generally good. However, you have shifted most of the bioelectric cost to an upfront ...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Yes, I was going to go with trained from the start but I thought I'd leave it for liberty island to see the changes, and some jumps I don't even think of as falls were giving a little fall damage. It wasn't a problem because a tiny bit of leg damage isn't, just seemed a little sensitive. The 5% slow...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Currently running through with this, so thought I'd put up some thoughts now and as I go through. Just on general principles, I think some of the changes- in particular, the balance changes and the increased enemy difficulty- are beyond what a patch would do. I like them, so thats not a criticism of...
