Re: Why I love playing The Nameless Mod

Glad you had fun :) not a fan of skillpoints for kills, but whatever floats your boat!

I really should try to find the time to playing TNM 2.0 at some point.

Re: Are there any modders around that know of bugs in native functions?

Sorry it's been 12 years since I last touched Deus Ex, but I do recall that we had a bug in the native AI path finding that kept crashing the engine when we were doing certain things. I don't even remember how we got around it in the end, but that might be something to look into if you feel like doi...

EER appreciation thread

Massive thanks to EER for updating the OTP board to a modern version of PHPBB and even finding a theme that more or less matches the look of the old look =D>

Now the spam bots can start trying to sell us all fake university papers and porn again!

Re: Pathing NPCs into elevators

For what it's worth, we never had characters use elevators in TNM, for precisely this reason.

Re: How Long To Beat Deus Ex?

Talking to everyone and exploring all the dialogue options accounts for maybe half of the time I spent in the game each time I played it, but even so 8-9 hours for a completionist non-speed run seems implausibly low. I think my first playthrough of Deus Ex took me something like 35 hours. I guess on...

Australia was nice :)

I spent a week in Perth and a week in Melbourne. I wish I'd taken two weeks in Perth, the weather was so good. I miss the sun.

Re: How has everyone been for the past decade or so?

No, just on Facebook :) The bridge is a tough one yeah, it's a really unusual setup which requires weird tactics to get through well, and it's a bit too early in the game to throw that kind of situation at the player. If we were to ever do a Director's Cut of Viking, we would have to work a lot on t...

Hah, yeah we never did figure out how to establish a gentle learning curve. Glad you like it though.
