I find it pleasing. I like the simplicity of the big orange numbers.

Resurrection bothers me. It's got a load of horrid considerations and social implications. I was always a Quake 3 person rather than UT. I wouldn't know if I was me when I was reactivated and that would make my brain melt. So it'd be a looping cycle of confusion and stress.

I don't reckon that there will be a huge difference between HDTP and TNM downloads. Unless either of us get magazine coverage or something on a site like Gamespy or Eurogamer.

Yes, that's the whole idea of the project! If you have a look around the forums you can see examples of the new textures.

Hah :P Yeah, Lamp3 was missing the end part incase I needed to alter the UVmap. I'll just duplicate it now the texture is finished. I find that easier in the program I use. Yes, I do wonder how many people will download our work. I'm really looking forward to the release, I just wish we'd got around...

I need to sort out some webspace. I should have organised some by September and then I'll upload pictures of my work.

I think updating the particle effects (such as smoke) was one of the additional things Metche was looking into. Whilst we don't have anyone actively changing the scripts for us on the team (yet), it isn't something that has been ruled out.

I know... I think I'm usually pretty reserved on the pressure and swearing front. Although I think my response was justified. Do you think the post should be left open?

Just dropped by to check on this project, and I was wondering; So you come here regularly? -Is this project ever, I mean ever in the history of mankind going to be finished? It's been 6 years since the original Deus Ex was released - that is a lifetime in the industry. Developers normally spend 4 y...

All of the information needed to extract textures and models from the *.u files is around on the forums somewhere. I use Steve Tack's extractor to get to the models and textures. There is an SDK for Deus Ex. This will allow you to preview models/textures and see how the game renders them. I use Pain...

We don't have an official HDTP IRC channel yet, but having one might be a good idea. As Kale said, it's pretty slow at the moment but I imagine things will pick up in June/July. Lots of our members will be finishing their degree courses/school/college for the summer and should have more time to give...

The reality of Deux Ex is divergent from our own at the moment and I'm sure it will still be quite different in 2025. I always think of the project as a restoration and an update, so we try and stay true to what we think the developers might have done or wanted to do if they had better system specs ...

I quite like Oblivion, although I found the guild quests and the main quest to be a little short. I've perfected my Oblivion gate rush though, usually getting through a plane in a few minutes. I thought it was very easy to finish the thieves guild quests and to fence enough gold for the final missio...
