Re: Fallout 3 upgrade system as much fun as Deus Ex

(and yes, Bioshock has the best aesthetic bells & whistles in gaming, but take away the pretties and it's... Doom 3. Yes, it's Doom 3 with open levels, 'Open levels'? STALKER, Far Cry 2 (even bits of FC1, from memory), Thief 2, Deus Ex, these have 'open levels'. Bioshock was a series of tubes (like...

I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS! I, too, feel like you're taking crazy pills. So you haaave... nothing? (and yes, Bioshock has the best aesthetic bells & whistles in gaming, but take away the pretties and it's... Doom 3. A Doom 3 so brutally unbalanced in your favour that it's like having a god-...

Re: Fallout 3 upgrade system as much fun as Deus Ex

I've gone through a fair few hours of Fallout 3 (most of that spent trudging unbelievably slowly through empty countryside -- pace-wise, this game is like playing the entirety of The Witcher while Geralt's drunk), and I'm baffled at how inferior this game is; I expected the critical reception to be ...

But it's not JC.
I know he's not! The point is that all game characters look awesome with facial hair. Unless you're female :p

Why can't I call my character ADAM WEST!.. lol. PURE WEST! <0_0> That would conflict with the actual Adam West's cameo as himself in the Hollywood Hills stage. You have to stealth into his loungeroom, and if you get caught, he sprays you with shark repellant, which means you can no longer be attack...

I'm trying to think of examples. Toonstruck keeps coming to mind. Combining found items in ways that shouldn't work must be done (ISTR cotton candy with peanut butter with fluff with buttons and with perfume, creates a female squirrel to lure the rabid guard squirrel from a door). Dear god, I thoug...

As already mentioned in this thread, something is abandonware when the copyright is no longer enforced; it's enforcement has been abandoned. That is because it is, and always has been, up to any party holding copyright to chase down in court those who commit copyright infringement to get restitutio...

But that's one of the neat things about the DX logo, that the two bits can spin around and one of 'em will always be the 'E' because of the dot! (although that does make the downward stroke on the 'D' a bit out of place, but it still works, 'cos it's pretty open...) Foolish port people.

Say, that gets me thinkin' -- although it's not part of the project, is such a thing technically feasible? It'd be neat to be able to whip up some higher-res inventory icons based on HDTP snaps and employ them at my leisure in future...

I favour the one on the second row, on the right. Great work, CP. And I agree with you that using the original-logo 'D' in the 'HDTP' text would look redundant.
