That should teach you to post whatever you've done in the texture/model database  I am sorry, though, that you lost your laptop. Reconfiguring a new computer is really difficult, especially if you don't have a template for what you like. Takes too much time that could be better spent doing othe...

Was it the harddrive that took a dive? Because if its a soft crash, the data on the drive can be recovered. :) If, though, the drive heads physically came into contact with the plates (you can hear a really nasty scratching sound coming from your hard drive), then your up that one smelly creek witho...

4. I've already become frustrated with not being able to tell if a file has been uploaded or not, so building an indication system is the next big tweak to the site I have planned. Look for it sometime this week. Alright, I added a nifty little indicator system to the main texture database page, so...

Cool system, being a ridiculously over-organised control-freak I love it. However, what would be even cooler would be a distinction between 'working on', and 'completed'. Maybe a text field for the former and an icon for the latter? For both models and textures. Maybe you could then use these check...

Alright, all you modellers and texturers, listen up! As E.L. has already found out, there a brand new Texture and Model Database page up and running. You can access it at http://www.offtopicproductions.com/hdtp/texturemanager or by clicking on "Current Mod/Tex List" on the main page. I made everythi...

HDTP Banner

I'm wondering if any here knows who made the HDTP banner. I'd like to know what font was used, so that I could develop some sort of banner for the new textures list page. Also, if anyone has that banner in something like .PNG or .*insert photoshop extension*, so that the words and the background are...

Thanks Metche for this sticky web thread. It'll help me be more productive, as I won't have to scour the forum looking for people's complaints and suggestions.

I was wondering, Pointman, if I could have a stickied thread about the web site; this one thread could be where all comments and complaints about the site could be posted...

Would something like this be plausible?

*POOF* I have reappeared, from the HDTP dungeons, to quite the storm and bring peace once again to the land. For those of you wanting to know the progress of the mod, never fear! I've constructed a nice little progress bar system for the front page, but you'll have to wait for HDTP's grand unveiling...

Well, I updated the member list to reflect the list on HDTP's ModDB page. I like the new look. However, you forgot to fix the comments along with the datestamps. :) And I fixed the comments to be the same color as the post, so they appear as the same shade of gray as the maintext on the mainpage. Le...

Back to the topic - I'd say there's a cutenews - related minor glitch with datestamps of posts being black (on dark background). Despite that, it looks great. But - to be honest - I loved that bright side of the site. I miss it. A... bit. BEHOLD!!! It is fixed! Now, the date stamp is white on dark....

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted people to see this... Here it is, a potential Dark theme. I adapted it to the site based on one of n0dalus' layouts for a dark version of HDTP: http://www.kalenetwebdesign.com/pics/HDTP_DL.jpg It's just a first run, so some colors may change. What do you all t...

I think I've nailed most of the bugs. I created a dynamic CSS that adapts to the browser that is being used to view the page, so everyone will see the same thing and I don't have to maintain a bajillion stylesheets. And just to show that I care, I even downloaded Opera and made sure that the page lo...

Well, I fixed the overlapping in Firefox, and figured out how to make the header banner look the same on both Firefox and IE. It now looks pristine on either browser. If anyone uses a browser other than the one mentioned above and it looks different, let me know so I can tweak the site some more to ...
