Re: The Story why you can ignite yourself with a FireExingui
Huh, why is Flamed being used for the damage type? There's got to be some reason for that.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Good news, everyone! I'm not dead! I apologize for the long delay and lack of contact; there have been a few things contributing to that. I was doing some really annoying and difficult work on the mod before, which caused me to lose some motivation. I also wasn't doing very good version control, gen...
Re: autosaves
Hrm, that can't be right. That would make it occur before the mission script timer starts, not after. Mind uploading a copy of the script somewhere, or pasting the relevant bits?
Re: autosaves
Well, where exactly does yours happen in the code? I'm curious.
Re: autosaves
Delaying it worked for me as well, although that just meant an even greater delay between beginning play and the game saving, which felt really awkward to me. It's also worth mentioning that since the game will refuse to save during an infolink conversation, any map that opens with one won't get aut...

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Hi im wondering if this information is up to date http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm#downloads "Deus Ex Enhanced fixes some niggles Deus Exe does not: it includes high-res fonts and user interface elements, and fixes scopes/binoculars at high resolutions. Especially recommended if you find...

Re: Deus Ex Physics
Sorry about being snippy; I was playing Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup and my character died due to my own stupidity and I was peeved about it. Yes, that's my excuse, and I'm going to have to live with it.

Re: Deus Ex Physics
Admittedly its way out of my comfort zone, but maybe? Classes: Actor, Triggers, Trigger, ShakeTrigger, properties: set collision and ShakeTrigger settings to match your cage size and desired shake-i-ness? Are you just guessing here or what? That's not even close to what ShakeTrigger does... or trig...
Re: autosaves
There's an autosave mechanism included in the working build of Deus Ex 2.0 (by DXBlaster, I think?). Unfortunately, it's kind of quirky (doesn't save until a fraction of a second after you gain control of the player character on the map) and also has some weird bugs I've been able to reproduce under...

Re: Code Request
That's a pretty good point. It's generally smart to see if a combination of triggers (or other actors) will work before scrambling to make a new one.

Re: Science question.
I have no idea if the above post is a joke or what, but antimatter does exist and has been produced artificially, albeit not in large quantities at all. It's also produced naturally in minute amounts in the form of positron decay (used in PET scans).

Re: Code Request
Can't this be done via a simple "else" statement added to FlagTrigger.uc?

Re: Maths Problem
I have nooooo idea where you're getting that math from at the end, and for what it's worth, there's also no way in hell that arc is 90 degrees. This is easily viewed if you look at the picture rotated. There are nine segments in the outer ring per 90 degrees, so 360 total, so 10 degrees per segment....

Re: Deus Ex: Human Renovation (fan patch/mod)
Under what circumstances did you end up with anomalous health in the detention center? I know the game checks your health and sets your body parts to 50% health if they're below that, but if that screws up sometimes, I'd definitely want to fix it. Regarding poison damage: The conversation would stil...
