Re: Deus Ex 3 - I'll just leave this here
No, that's incorrect. You had not level-1 computers you could hack without any skills. If you did not choose to have hacking skills then certain path are closed (if you could only do it by hacking). In DX:HR the hacking is a crap mechanics since (as you said) you can hack any story relevant compute...

Re: What are you playing?
In previous releases of Shifter, there was an additional texture pack that gave things like the Explosive 10mm ammo and Rate of Fire mods their own textures. Alas, Yuki lost the file and no one has stepped in to claim they have a copy of it. I think it was called ShifterTEX.u or something similar. ...

Re: What are you playing?
Mount and Blade: WarBand Fable III (pirated) The Witcher 2 M&B is getting to the point where it's kind of depressing. In a way it's similar to what I saw in Fable 1 and now Fable 3. There's huge potential and set up, but when it comes to following through with it it's just like: "meh, just screw it!...

Re: Great Steam Sales
Mount & Blade and the expansion pack Warband are on sale. Which one should I buy? The expansion pack is stand alone and from what I read is basically the same as mount and blade but with more features, so I guess that's the best buy. Has anyone played those games? Like I said, the expansion pack lo...

Re: Project 2027 - News?
It was a much lesser known mod. DX Prologue I believe. I think it was one of those short 2-3 map missions. You played as a mech... as I recall the bio-electrical energy bar was changed into a sort of stamina bar and if you ran for too long the screen would get staticy and you couldn't move.

Re: Project 2027 - News?
Yeah I noticed even when I went on the Russian version of the site there was no sign of being able to download it. Is it being hosted on some Russian site, or are they just making the comrades suffer for the sake of us English speaking folks? I tried out a German DeusEx mod a while back. Didn't get ...

Re: You may or may not LOL @ the mention HDTP gets...
I'm pretty sure DeusEx was mentioned because it is a game with so many options and so many little details. Those little dialogue tidbits like like Paul calling you a Jackass, Manderley scolding you for going in the womens restroom, and all those other little details were like fun little achievements...

I talked to him briefly and then Veronica punched his head off. The End. I know it can possibly continue if you let him live but that means I have to intentionally act stupid for the whole point of the player's journey not to end in two seconds and get replaced by a talking robot dictator. Ah okay....

Re: Dragon Effect 2.
And yet one can buy a computer for €600 which can run any game just fine, as long as one knows something about computer hardware and can assemble your own pc (which is fairly easy). It's a shame that most complete systems are utter crap. My old computer was from.... like 1997. Over the years it rec...

Re: Dragon Effect 2.
Ouch, that pic looks horrible. Even on my old PC where I run minimal specs it didn't look THAT bad... what the heck? How did you go lower than lowest? (although I did have a nice resolution. I suppose that's 800x600?) Yeah that's probably one of the reasons that I couldn't stand the combat in DA:O....

Re: Dragon Effect 2.
The Sacred ashes dragon is very easy if you do this. Basically have all but your tank hold position on the stairs where the dragon can't fit, and then have the tank run out blow the horn and retreat back to the stairs. The dragon won't be able to hurt long range party members much and if you're luck...

Re: Great Steam Sales
If my Oblivion installation was on Steam I would have killed someone! (like 160 mods for Oblivion) Just asking, but how many of them were nude/sex mods? Prolly about.... 3 One's HGEC, and the other two are decent quest mods which feature/focus a bit on sexual stuff. (Basically help someone set up a...

Re: School Shooter Mod Controversy
I dunno, I could see a game/mod about school shootings could be pretty interesting, but only if it included all of the factors, and the ability to play on all sides (shooter, innocent student, police)... it could even make a good Counter Strike type multiplayer game. You shooter would be tasked with...

Re: Say What ?
I hate it when TV shows try to revolve an episode around some video game typething. So much better when maybe it's just a random reference, like a fake name some kid used
