Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy

Most Emulators let you tweak rendering settings etc. So yeah it's probably that.

Re: Contributing to Our Development Process!

@Gahhhrrrlic: Don't bother. I came here these days after maybe two years without checking what is going on and from all the posts I read i understand, that if are asking in any way about how the project is going you will be considered "idiot" or "troll" (this is logical OR, so the case could be tha...

Re: Happr Birthday Kee

Bruised coccyx? Theres an app for that. Wait, how old are you? >_> <_< Forget I said anything! Besides you don't need it to be your birthday for an excuse to have fun. (without any mind altering substances) Or to be happy at all. I tend to think our own happiness is ultimately under our own control ...

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy

The death animations are lot better though aren't they? I mean in the PC version you could barely even called it an "animation". Animations were slightly improved, slightly. ... It doesn't take very much to improve on the Deus Ex PC death animations. I can cunningly represent the full animation in ...

*ahem* :P One of the reasons why I created this site: http://theosek.sitesled.com/bulletins.html#newyorkpublicterminals MOST WANTED: J.C. Re: Goat Temple Secret...

Well it's a big game, there's lots of virtual real-estate to hide things in ;) Remember the magnifying glass that this community put the original Deus Ex under over at PDX? I bet there is very little if any piece of information about Deus Ex that never passed through PDX at some point. I'...

Re: Goat Temple Secret...

Those who are spending their time looking for this secret, or secrets in general, should collect everything they do find into one place. Some kind of catalog of secrets. Or something. Am I making sense? Yep. Sounds like the perfect job for the wiki also. 'Course the obvious question arises what is ...

Yep thats exactly what it means.
Emulators are software that try to "imitate" another platform/environment.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy

As I recall the maps are divided into much smaller sections with more frequent loading points then their PC equivalents. Could partially explain why so much redesigning took place. I'd assume it was to accommodate the Playstation 2 hardware. I especially remember Wan Chai Market being a lot more spa...

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy

I own the PS2 version and played through it once a long time ago. But I don't think a play by play account of the differences exists anywhere and I certainly don't remember them all.
So if you'd be willing to continue I'd certainly read it and find it interesting.
The pictures are great also.

Re: Goat Temple Secret...

I'm wondering if this might be something that can't be found by just looking through the code or for secret passages in the editor. Like maybe a message hidden cleverly in the terrain. That can only be seen in-game at a certain angle or something. I find it hilarious that even with access to the sou...

Re: TNM launch problem - Wine_Jaunty

Well in my complete layman opinion DX.dx is the map file that loads for the background of the menu screen. The Ion storm logo etc. It looks like TNM has its own dx.dx map for it's menu in DeusEx/TNM/Maps/dx.dx. I have no idea why it would be having trouble loading it. Looks like a generic error. (do...

Re: Breakout Maddness!

I totally have beaten it. I really wanted there to be a small skillpoint award for beating the final level, but we never had time to implement it, so you'll have to imagine it if you manage that :P Pssh devs don't count. Oh ok fine congratulations. :P I've been using the keyboard the whole time. Ma...
