Go into the freezer of the Old China Hand, and up into the vents that lie therein. They lead directly to the flooded canal. Also, there is an augmentation upgrade cannister, as well as a weapon modification (can't recall which specifically) in the underwater area with the smashed cars. Whether or no...

But doesn't that describe basically every Mario game? On a similar note, I'm able to beat SMB2 on the SNES, but not for the NES. I have it on VC, but I've yet to be able to actually kill Wart. I've made it as far as him, but can't actually kill him.

I played it for a few hours way back when they included it in the 1.1.1.0 patch. The bodies don't dissappear, so the map fills up with decapitated bodies pretty quick. It was pretty fun actually.
