At least one person on the team is in fact German, and certain others can read German (a little).

Here we go:
Deus Ex ist nicht tot! (Deus Ex is not dead!)
Mod des Tages: Abgedrehte neue Kampagne The Nameless Mod für Deus Ex (Mod of the day: Positively weird new campaign The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex)
Mod der Woche: Deus Ex The Nameless Mod (Mod of the Week: Deus Ex The Nameless Mod)
I could translate the highlights if that's helpful. Cheers!

Ricemanu is German, he's our texture artist. So yes. Where did you come across "feuertrunken" though? Maybe he snuck something in there I don't know aboutMep_histo wrote:Is that person possibly responsible for the bookshelf textures in the bookstore, or names like "feuertrunken" (a reactor technology) and other references?

Re: TNM in the media
Well, "feuertrunken" isn't really a reactor technology, in TNM it is referred to in a book/computer entry as a name for a new reactor technology. I don't remember the exact location, sorry!
"Feuertrunken" is an old fashioned german word which is used e.g. in the choral 5. set of Ludwig van Beethovens 9. symphony, Freude schöner Götterfunken, Text Friedrich Schiller.

Found it again. It was in the INVEST! magazine with Scara on the cover.
Re: TNM in the media
As a member of the codex for over 5 years.... you just have to understand that most of the people there are VERY ANGRY with the way RPG's are now days. Also, a majority of those people are just trolling. And certain people have a certain "Title" for a REASON. Just keep that in mind when wading through the crap and troll infested sewer that is The Codex.Jonas wrote:My love for the RPG fucking Codex is boundless.

Check that thread again, I give your Mod a Thumb's Up. I'm sure it will be quickly de-railed into a troll fest, but that's the codex.
I must say WELL DONE Team Off Topic. You did a FINE job with this mod. I'm about half(?) way through and greatly enjoying it!

Hey no sweat, I know what the Codex is like. At least it's not NMA!

Oi! there is nothing wrong with NMA Jonas In fact just imagine if Fallout 3 was more like deus ex, like it should have been(drifts of in deep thought).Jonas wrote:Hey no sweat, I know what the Codex is like. At least it's not NMA!

No, it should've been more like Fallout 2. But eh.

Re: TNM in the media
Mentioned briefly at the end of the latest Rebel FM podcast:
http://www.eat-sleep-game.com/news/2009 ... -13-40209/
If you don't have time to listen to the whole thing, skip down to the 134 minute marker. Nothing major, just a brief shout out, basically.

Re: TNM in the media
I honestly wasn't expecting much competition given the current state of moddom but beating out FoF and a UT04 remake of Red Faction's multiplayer is pretty impressive.JC_Helios wrote:You guys won the March staff selection on moddb:

Did anybody mention this yet?
http://www.modaddict.fr/2009/04/06/arti ... interview/
French website, but the actual interview is in English so don't let the intro scare you off.
As it was conducted via IRC, it flows kinda awkwardly at times, but it's a lot more dynamic than a mail interview, for example.
Also there's a great bonus interview with Leo at the end
