I wanted to state that first to make it clear that outright non-constructive abuse isn't necessary.
Since 05 I have created and developed a multiplayer modification known as Deus Ex:Arx Genus, it's been pretty successful, except that it hasn't attracted enough coding dedication to get it developed further than a few versions.
What DX:AG is, is best described in my FAQ;
Code: Select all
DXAG stands for (D)eus (E)x: (A)rx (G)enus (Rough translation of Arx Genus - Team Fortress)
The mod is a team based class/character mod, where you choose your class/character from a different range
DXAG is heavily based off the works of Team Fortress for Quake 2, Halflife 1&2. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Battlefield 1942 or 2
The objective is to defeat the other team, not by just combat (such as DXMP) but also teamwork through utilising each classes unique attributes

So my sales pitch, is essentially with TNM's lack of a unique multiplayer (not sure if MP even works in TNM), and with a substantial amount of current players for multiplayer, and also taking into consideration the amount of new DX/TNM players who might be thinking "wait, whats that multiplayer button do?". Would it be in your best interest to cater for these players by including a decent multiplayer experience?
By integrating TNM and AG, TNM would therefore have a unique and enjoyable multiplayer functionality, which would make use of some good features of TNM (especially the new weapons/items).
The source code for DX:AG has been made public anyway, so here is a download link for those willing to take a look;

And finally, in hopes to maybe persuade you a little, a DX:AG fan made a youtube video to demonstrate this mod;

I do know this is somewhat of a longshot, but it doesn't hurt to try, does it?
Thanks for hearing me out
