[EDIT -renamed the thread... much better now!]
Hey all.
New here. My name's Nicole. Nice to meet you all. :D

I've been playing the role of the quiet observer when it comes to living out my role as a fan of Deus Ex. However I help run a little fan-club for it on Deviant Art (http://deus-ex-fan-club.deviantart.com - we've been avidly advertising TNM on there!!! ;) ) , scribble Deus Ex related fan-art and generally never shut up about it when it comes to class discussions on game design while I'm at university. Yes, not a day goes by without me thinking about Deus Ex. Anyway I'm terrible 'cause I've been stupid enough to not to involve myself here with all you awesome people. *ashamed*

Now all that aside, I'd just like to say that everyone involved in making TNM have really made my day, week and year. Heck you've even made my life up to this moment a lot brighter.

In short: I've played through The Nameless Mod twice and I'm in love; it's my personal Game of the Year!

You have achieved the impossible: you have created a game that matches the greatness of Deus Ex itself. Not only that, you have surpassed it. The Nameless Mod has allowed Deus Ex as a concept to evolve, without becoming something completely alien to the original.

You have made the "true" Deus Ex sequel.

Also, I'm convinced everyone who worked on The Nameless Mod would together create the best Deus Ex sequel ever (and I'm talking a PROPER sequel; one that overrides Invisible War and stamps it's retarded butt into the dirt). You all could kick Eidos Montreal's ass!

You all have so much potential to do that. :)

And one more thing. FAN ART ALERT!!!

That's how awesome your game is! It has already earned fan art!
I fell in love with all the characters in TNM, so you'll find some random fanarty sketches I've done on my Deviant Art page (as well as some Deus Ex fan art and my original art)

Hi. Nice to meet you. Great work.

I have told others of this. OiNutter and Yardbomb both insist that they are central characters, more central than the others you have done, and should have art made of them.

Holy crap, those sketches are fantastic! Your interpretation of Scara is absolutely spot on, an excellent evil vibe =D> The sketch of the dragon outtake perfectly captures that clip.

I really can't say how good it makes us all feel when we see posts like this, it's great to know that all our work resulted in something that people are really enjoying. Would you mind if we feature your sketches in a Moddb.com news post, Nicole?

Hi again!
Thanks so much for the sweet comments :) I'm really stoked you liked them so much! You've really achieved one of the hardest things to do in games in TNM; make characters memorable and endearing. Everyone has so much personality it's hard not to be inspired.

I would be honoured to be featured in a Moddb.com news post. I would really love that. :D

Cheers!

Oh and don't worry. More fan art will be on the way, once I've got some of my uni art out of the way first; got some game concepts to work on. I'm actually studying game design, and I'd love to be a conceptual artist for games. I'll be sure to draw Yardbomb and OiNutter ;). Maybe I should start taking requests? LOL

Drawing is such a cyclical high for me. I draw to make myself happy, and then it can make others happy and then because of that I draw some more! Such is the lifecycle of the artist.

Well if you are taking requests then be sure to do Chris the Cynic too. You know, the co owner of the Fan Fiction Shop, guy with a brown coat.

Me.

Okies Chris! Your character's on the to-draw list as well:D

I loved the fan fic shop mind you, I spent so much time in there reading and talking and getting annoyed when my brother walked into my room and bothered me while I was trying to read epic fan fiction and listen to your extremely insightful quips on fact and fiction.

I wonder if I'm going to have to compile a list of first-come first-served! XD

I've started something here it seems...

The drawings are great! Scara is probably my favorite character so it's great to seem him conceptualized in such a stylized manner, especially with such devious undertones. (geez I'm such a pseudo art critic :P)
I'm thinking of incorporating this one into a desktop background type thingie:

Lucky I already have fan art of walton simons (no caps) and my TNM character scattered ALL OVER the internet.
All directly referring to me, yep.

Excellent! We'll use it to spice up the 1.0.2 patch post when it's ready in a week or two, moddb loves eye candy :)

Excellent work! I particularly like the art of Scara and King Kashue. Actually, in regards to the Kashue sketch...I don't know if this was intentional, but he appears to me to be...heavy-set, if you will, in the piece. Overweight. Hefty. And for some inexplicable reason, I find that terribly amusing - hilarious, actually! I was already envisioning Kashue in the game as a bit of a...pudgy sort, and your sweet art only reinforced my crazed (and surely outrageous) notion. Kudos! ^^;;

Some layman photoshopping and voila: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/6097/s ... 20x120.png
(I made sure to leave your signature in)
I might tighten up the graphics and make one with more of the concept art in it later. But who am I kidding I'll probably procrastinate, and I should probably leave it to real artists anyway. :P

hey everyone :D,

Thought I'd drop in to say hi as well. Teknikal-vision and I study games design at uni together + run the deus ex deviantART fanclub together.

I have been eagerly watching this mod for a while, I just finished playing also, and guys - it's fantastic :D
Congrats on such a great job, it shows that there is hope in the games industry as interactivity and multiple choice solutions to everything has only ever been accomplished by Deus Ex, System Shock and Vampire Bloodlines (all three games in my top 10, deus ex is num 1 :)).
Guys if you need a hand with your next project, I'd love to help out with level design or 3d modelling as I heard you guys were short of artists in your podcast. I know that nik has been non-stop talking about wanting to help out on you guys's next projects concept art too :D

Oh and just to embarrass nik a little, guys can you believe she was nervous about sharing her fantastic artwork with all of you in case you didn't like it lol

catch you guys later
