Arnaud G. Vasquez wrote:Excellent work! I particularly like the art of Scara and King Kashue. Actually, in regards to the Kashue sketch...I don't know if this was intentional, but he appears to me to be...heavy-set, if you will, in the piece. Overweight. Hefty. And for some inexplicable reason, I find that terribly amusing - hilarious, actually! I was already envisioning Kashue in the game as a bit of a...pudgy sort, and your sweet art only reinforced my crazed (and surely outrageous) notion. Kudos! ^^;;
hehehe!

i think that was subconcious to be honest... strange result of my art style or something
but its good to know it's good thing, not a bad thing :)

teknikal: You are now my favourite person for the month of April.

I love how eminently British you made Phasmatis look, and Scara's facial expression, as others here have already pointed out, is spot on!

Do you think it might be a good idea to use these portraits in the manual, instead of the boring screenshots it currently features? I can take care of that for patch 1.0.2 if you're okay with it. I think it'd be a huge improvement.

Man, I'm totally floored. I can't believe that not only did we get fan art, we got good fan art :D

Hey Jonas :)

Hearing these words from you and Lawrence leaves me insanely flattered. After playing through TNM -which blew me away, it's so amazing- I hold Lawrence, you and the TNM team in the highest regards. So wow, it's just brill getting this kind of response!

You've all done such immensely inspiring work! I'm still pinching myself that a game of Deus Ex's quality which carries and expands on it's core design priniciples actually exists! I've been dying for more games to learn from Warren Spector and Deus Ex, so TNM is the best thing to happen in a very long time!

As for adding my art to the game manual, that would be so freaking awesome! I'm more than happy to let you! Glad I was able to capture the characters to your liking! They're all so much fun to draw.

When I get more time (busy at uni at the mo working on a game of course) I'll be extremely willing to create any more art you may need.

And I'll be sure to keep you updated on any new fan art I come up with!

Oh I definitely like that Scara sketch, do me do me! xD

It's always fun to see a fan of our work, and the sketches are slick (everyone I've talked to on the team likes them, though I admit they perhaps liked them more after I pointed out that you also fall into the 'holy shit it's a female TNM fan' category). Keep them coming!

Ha ha ha ha ha! We are an extremely rare breed!

I mean just think of population density... % of which are female gamers, % of female gamers who play Deus Ex rather than Final Fantasy, and % of female gamers who play Deus Ex and love it enough to know TNM, play and adore it.

And it's even funnier that of all the places I turn up in is Australia! What are the odds? XD

Oh and the Fan-Art-To-Draw list currently stands in this order: OiNutter, Yardbomb, Chris the Cynic and NvShacker
Places are filling up quickly! :P I so can't wait to have the time to do more fan art for everyone!

I agree, very surprised TNM got some fan art but even more surprised to see how extremely good it is! I love the one of Scara and of course the one with KK and Moi.

You gotta give it though, the Final Fantasy saga usually has amazing music.

Anyway,
Nicole... You Rock!

Allow me to be the first person to request a character other than my own (though in a way they're all my characters I suppose, with a few exceptions): Do Kylie next. Please :)

Oh I completely agree. Final Fantasy is great. I love the music. Advent Children is especially fantastic with regards to scoring.
It's just annoying when that's all they know and play. Which is a lot of people at my uni course. Actually... me and Majestic are the only ones in our uni courses that know, love and obssess about Deus Ex (and now TNM) like we do.
