Hey guys, I've corrected the double guns class so there's only one gun and it's aligned correctly.

Phas your packages are out of date, but I merged your changes into the latest doubleguns class, so it works now. And it looks great! So good work :P

Yeah sorry, I forget to update them before I start work on stuff but I shouldn't need them now until I start testing! YAY!

About the lamps (hotmail has stopped working for me at the moment) I did do 2 or so but I could get them to look right so we decided not to bother in the end.

Space Station Section 03:
I said I would make a start at the weekend and so I have. ;)

This model will be slightly different to the others in that the walls won't have any thickness to them.

I thought perhaps it could be broken up into 2 parts, the top floor and the bottom floor (like in the picture below) These could either be seperate images or both in the same image.

I think I should make the middle cylinda trasparent so you can see the platforms (which aren't modelled yet) and the entrances to the rooms.

So my question to you all is, 2 Data vault images or 1?

Holy shit, okay I have a few bits of input.

First of all, why not model the whole thing in transparent green like you used on the bottom part of the cylinder? It looks digital, shiny, futuristic, and Gamespy-green, exactly as I think the SS map should look like! That way, you can also model certain important set-pieces such as the annihilation plants, the LEET's, the APG's, or (most importantly) the elevator. I think it would look hella good.

Secondly, the map you posted looks great to me! There's no problem with breaking it into two parts, but if you can fit it on a single 400x400 texture, that would be perfect. I think it's far less confusing if the player sees one map per level of the station, so splitting the engineering level into 2 maps would be somewhat confusing.

And finally, is there any chance you can re-render the SS01 map so it looks like this? It would definitely be best if the SS maps look similar, stylistically. And can you render them out on a transparent background so I can put in an interesting background? :)

Unless you want to do an interesting background yourself, of course.

I thought "ok, I'll give it ago but I think it will look too confusing" however I stand corrected, it looks pretty freakin' good. [Image updated above]

Perhaps I'll try it on the NSC and worldcorp maps (with different colours) and see if it looks ok, then there will be a style for datavault maps.

EDIT: Oh about the background, I will have to render it with the background in cinema as it can't alpha transparency very well, so make the background and send it on over to me.

That looks reeeeeally good. I don't think you have to remake the WC and NSC maps, I think it's nice that they have different styles, but if you can make maps for all four Space Station levels that look like this, that would be fantastic. Never mind about the background, I can't come up with anything nice on the fly :P Just make it black, that'll work fine :)

That looks really good Phas, but do you think it would be a good idea to frame closer to the cylinder, cutting off the two nearest annihilation plants? There's not really any reason to dedicate the entire lower half of the image to the annihilation farm :)

*pokes you* I just rendered it, it takes an hour!

Here's a pic, I'll upload the PCX if you prefer that to the older one. :)
