Map progress:
Note: "Done" is a relative term. I expect we'll be fixing and adding stuff until the very second the mod is released. "Done" implies that a map has progressed so far that we non-mappers can finish it.

New version of the Corporate Sewers uploaded. I added the waterfalls to the junction room near one of the entrances. I need somebody to check it out and see if it looks good enough, just turn right after leaving the room where you start and follow the tunnel until you reach a largish room with fog, hanging lights, a large pump, and a couple of pipes with water coming out of them.

I don't think it gets much better with this engine :?

If you don't have HTTP access to the TeamFTP, use an FTP client to find the directory and download the map. Thanks in advance.

tested!

Looks right nice, found a bug though:-)

The water in the halls looks like water, but it appears to just be a water sheet without the waterzone.

Dazza

Rule #1 of Deus Ex screenshot capturing: Always max your brightness!

Otherwise, use the "sshot" console command which comes with a built-in flash (litterally >_<).

The shots you sent me were extremely dark. Off the top of my head, it doesn't look like blue is a very good colour for the templae, I want it to look huge and beautiful, not so much cold and ominous. Try orange instead, or maybe yellow. Something brighter and warmer.

Apart from that, it looks very good, I especially like the white spotlights on the slanted ceiling surfaces. Please upload the map whenever possible, or send it directly to my e-mail or over MSN if necessary.

Good work :)

And for anybody else who wants to have a look, these are the shots Dazza sent me:

Ok I changed the blue to red and added more lighting. As well as some more detail in the area as well as some small fix ups.

Question: Is it ok if I make the layout myself?

Hmm... yes, that's okay, save me the trouble. When you make it, keep the gameplay in mind. It'd be nice if the sermon room is relatively close to the entrance, but Athena's fight room and the security room both need to be in a restricted area with patrolling guards and cameras and stuff.

Also, if you make the layout yourself, you're going to need the apartment(-s? I forget) that Midashand made, those are very nice, and you'll need DT's fountain room which will serve as a kind of hub to the restricted parts of the templae. I'm not gonna have time to find that for you tonight, but if we're lucky, somebody else will have a look through the TeamFTP and shoot a couple of links your way. Otherwise, just keep those two rooms in mind when you design the map, and you'll get them some time tomorrow.

I actually started from scratch. That way I'm more in touch with the map overall as I don't have to work with 2 different mapping styles because as we know everyone maps differently ;)

Hey Midas, do you happen to have the apartments in a seperate map? I think that'd be a great help if you could upload them. Or just mail them to me.

Oh, I thought you made one big and one small apartment where the small would be duplicated for both of the priests. Well send me the large one then.

Jonas, since I have reliable access to the FTP, I'm going to upload my work more often. In fact I've setup a folder entitled "Current Work" in the ZeroPresence FTP folder. I'm going to upload the work I've done each day at intervals which will be everytime I'm working then step out, and when I'm about to go to sleep. So whenever you're online and I'm not around and you're wondering about the server complex, just get on the FTP an download it. I've also included a Read file which describes new things added, and a slight summary of the map as a whole. Kind of like a designer's doc on the map. So you will be up to date on everything thats going on even when I'm not there to talk. And the Read includes the date of the work, too. So it wont get confusing.

Oh, this applies to Trestkon, too. If you want to keep tabs on the level's progress.
