Did anyone actually...
Did anyone actually take the suicidal front-door route at the beginning of the Aunt Betty industries level? Is there any big reward for taking that way?
Re: Did anyone actually...
Yes, and it isn't quite suicidal. Just launch a bunch of 20mm's around each corner (of course my game crashed about 5 minutes after this and hasn't worked since). You might actually miss an easter egg by going this way though.

Do you mean the front gates, or the office building, or the rocket base area? Because all three have alternate entrances off the beaten path, and for all three I took the front door after finding the back way, just because I felt like it and I'm a total badass.
Re: Did anyone actually...
Yeah, I took the highway entrance once, it isn't suicide, its just 3 times more difficult than the other path.

If you mean the road tunnel, I suppose you could consider the medbot and repair bot after the first group of enemies, as well as a bunch of supplies, to be a "Big reward". Plus, on top of that, if you do clear the entire tunnel you can easily return to those two bots when you need them while fighting in the other areas, while if you take the back route it's like a 10 minute walk with a jumping puzzle on the route just to get back.

I grenade climbed up the mountain and made my way over the plateau, before speed jumping onto the compound wall. Then I chucked a scramble grenade down, ducked behind the wall and waited for the security bot to take care of everything.
Re: Did anyone actually...
Yeah I meant the highway entrance. I watched that cutscene showing the metric shit ton of enemies and I was like "hmmm...how about not [-( " I'm glad to know I didn't miss much.
Re: Did anyone actually...
Just now because I wanted to unleash hell with Deus Diablo's flameblade (and because I wanted to take a2 into the main area, but he wouldn't go up the incline when I cleared everything with him intact...), not hard with A2's help and regen.
Re: Did anyone actually...
wait, you can recruit A2 as your assistant?
Re: Did anyone actually...
if you play PDX, and have not killed him or NVS(i think), you get him automaitcallyVoobman wrote:wait, you can recruit A2 as your assistant?

A medbot, a repair bot, and two rooms full of supplies isn't "much"? There are three of the squat TNM custom explosive barrels in there, too.Scotch wrote:I'm glad to know I didn't miss much.

Re: Did anyone actually...
Well you can get to that area too if you blow up the mountain.
Re: Did anyone actually...
Or hack at it with a high powered weapon, not exclusivly explosive.
And A2 can be found in world corp as well, just go to the goat temple and disable him

Or wait long enough for the Medbot or repair bot to drive through the wall.AgentSmithereens wrote:Well you can get to that area too if you blow up the mountain.
