Really? Because I can blow people up from a distance just fine, but if I try somewhat closer they definitely hear all the shots and come running.

Most of the time "closer" is all that's available.

And from a distance they are rarily alone and I get others gunning for me, who take some time to kill again.
I think I'll stick with the sniperrifle headshot. Takes a lot less skill than the PHAT headshot ;).
Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?
Oh wait, I already got one...

So does the PHAT actually make noise, or what? What's triggering the AI if you shoot them with it from within ~20 feet or so that they completely ignore from outside?

The problem is that the PHAT rifle does not deal damage, so they only react to it if they hear the shots.

So adding a very small damage (1) to the shot would fix that probably.

Point is; would we want that? It would make the weapon very hard to use without taking damage then... hmmm...

I Was Just wondering myself , although You can Get AO's Gun Wich has a pre installed silencer , why isnt it that there could have been a Silencer mod for the Tnm pistol ? i like using this wepon a lot , when i fully upgrade it , it kicks ass !! , and it wouldve been better with a silencer mod , all be it to make the pistol look more Aesthetically pleasing , and could also help with players that like using stealth :) i know that sounds stupid because the stealth pistol is already there , but it would help :) i hate it when i attract a whole load of guards on ABI missions with the pistol , and in no time i'm limping away with hardly any health left . just saying though , it wouldve been nice for the pistol to have a silencer :)

Well, the pistol has superior stats compared to the stealth pistol, and the silencer mod is somewhat abundant and can be bought. Therefore modding the pistol to have a silencer, even if realistic, will damage the game's logic.
Think of it like this - in terms of capabilities, AO's pistol > stealth pistol > pistol, and in terms of base stats, AO's pistol < stealth pistol < pistol - so no handgun is really better than the other, which allows different gameplay styles.

Actually, AO's pistol is statistically superior to the stealth pistol.

Yeah, that still happens in 1.0.2. Makes me often wonder if I shot at all, until enemies start falling down (or I die) :lol:.

I just noticed that King Kashue gives me a ''low casualties'' bonus even if I butcher every WorldCorp guard I encounter in the spyware mission. Is it suppossed to be like that?

No, no it is not.

Unless you encountered very few guards. Technically if you kill 100% of those you meet, but only meet 10% of the guards you are being 90% non-lethal. KK would probably reward 90% non-lethality.

Then it's very likely that you never met most of the guards, so as Chris says, even though you killed everybody you met, you probably killed neither 25% on both maps nor 40% on either, which I believe is the threshold for getting the reward from Kashue :)

Also FYI, only floors 2 and 3 count, even if you wipe out everybody on level 1 and 4 (except Scara, obv.) it does matter.
