My opinion of the mod

Greetings! I am new to the forum, which I decided to join since I'm a long time fan of the first DeusEx game. I figured that as a first post, I'd share my opinion on this amazing mod: I'm not seeing a lot of activity here, so hopefully it doesn't hinder more important discussion.
Overall I really loved the mod! For starters, its idea is very neat and dare I say innovative: I found it fun to realize that the story of the mod is clearly based on a real story from the various DeusEx communities involved in making it. Also all of the characters, who are themselves real members of the team and I imagine I'll be seeing on this forum! Gotta wonder if the real King Kashue is the same nice and fair and responsible guy as the one you work with in PDX HQ Just hope Scara isn't real... at least not the one we know from the mod that is.
Another thing I liked was the extensions and improvements done on the original mechanics. For instance, allowing augmentation canisters to work like upgrade canisters for the same type of augmentation. Also killing unconscious people if you shoot their sleeping bodies... sometimes I can't believe the original DeusEx never added this. On the downside, I couldn't for the life of me figure how punching works (the fire button with no weapon selected doesn't do anything).
If I'm uncertain about any aspects, I'd say freely available singular city hub took a bit away from the normal DeusEx feel I'm used to, even if normally I'm a huge fan of games that give you free roam. You have access to all 3 parts of the city fairly soon, which are all the same style and culture... I could feel the absence of adventuring to different countries and meeting people of different nationalities.
So far I played the entire mod twice. The second time was for two reasons: In my first playthrough I went with the Lamas, which I then regretted once I realized the Goats were nicer (and didn't have such a hateful leader). Also I initially knocked out Alpha to get the disk off him, figuring it would save me 1000 credits so why not... I did not imagine that the bar blows up later and this kills him if he's unconscious (really well played with that one). I only worked for PDX both times... honestly, working for Scara must feel even more wrong and disturbing than Undertale's genocide route, it would make me feel way too guilty
In comparison to all mods I've seen so far, I would rate TNM #2 on my list. #1 is still DeusEx Nihilum for me, that's my favorite mod made so far.
