Is there a way into the King's Apartments Building?

1. Yes or no

2. Can you do it with any story arc, or is it specific to PDX or WC?

(Note: I already finished PDX storyline)

It was meant to have a side mission originally, I think it's described in one of the design documents in our bonus material (a description of the corporate sector, I believe). But it was cut because we changed some things.

There isn't a way in there? Darn.

I was thinking that was where, at some point or another, you'd have a chance to use a couple keys found in a coffee bar. Are they used somewhere else though? I'm pretty sure I looked high and low for the Captain and Lieutenant's lockable things.

Did you find the safe in the floor in Capt. Apollo's?

Is that the same captain that has a ship right in the first area? If not, no need to hint further; if it's something I've overlooked that's fine, I'm still tinkering about with my third time through the first few missions of the game.

I just thought it might've been a reference to some other game that just didn't have a regular use in game.

I'm also looking for the Captain and Lieutenant's things to open.

What day are they accessible in?

They're the two coffee shops in the Downtown district. They're accessible from the start of the game.

Break into Lt. Boomer's at the market place and grab the keys from the desk. One of them just opens the door to get out, but the other unlocks a safe in the floor in Capt. Apollo's.

Those are some finely veiled references. ;)

It's like a triple reference. In one fell swoop we manage to tie together Starbucks, Battlestar Galactica, and Invisible War's stupid Queequeg/Pequod's subplot (itself a reference to Moby Dick from which the Starbucks franchise was actually named). It's like a super-meta-ultra-inter-cross-reference.

I suspected some Invisible War influence on the rival coffee houses. When you lay it all out like that it's just another tangle in the web of meta that is TNM. :P
