Can I stop carrying this crap around? Will it become useful?

I've had a Floppy Disk (An old floppy disk. Discs like this can be used to store a very limited amount of computer data, God only knows what's on this one.) and a Valuable Painting (This is a cardboard tube with an old painting inside) for almost the entire game. I'm in ABI now and I'm wondering if those two items are what I should dump to pick up the Gibbinator.

Mad Dipper was a gamespy admin with a secret forum dedicated just to worshiping him on forumplanet.
It was usually just full of spam/people dicking around. But the frequent members would always write his name in green and worship him. There are various other similar stories about a whole bunch of other hidden gamespy forums that are sadly not around anymore.
