Where is the threads control room?

Where is this room and how do you get to it? I have been wandering around the underground tunnels for about an hour now and I haven't come across anything that indicates that I can shut down threads. Is it in the building where you place the bug on the computer? Am I missing something really easy and obvious here?

It's in the map with the Karkians and the BSP holes - the enterance to that map is the opening nearest to Beeblequix apartment, the one which doesn't have a ladder.
After entering the map, just go down as far as you can. There's a metal door there which can't be opened unless you hold the firestaff, and in which case, it will open automatically. You will recieve your instructions after you get in that room.

Also, early versions of the game didn't force you to take the admin staff, even though it's crucial to have. In that case, just summon the firestaff - or backtrack through the jumping puzzle and old DXI to the staff room, your choice.

You don't actually need the firestaff to open that door, only the flag set that you picked up the staff (which used to be set too early, hence going around with no staff).

I have the Firestaff.

Location:

• Standing at the elevator where you fist enter...
• To the right is a lighted entrance that leads to where I got the Firestaff
• Front, slightly right, is the mound that contains Beeblequix's apartment
• Walk left and you pass an entrance with a ladder going down to a computer complex
• In front of Beeblequix's apartment are stairs that lead to a cavern....
• In the cavern there is a double steal door in a block wall, in the left-rear corner is the entrance to the BSP Holes cavern

OK, is the double steal door the entrance to Thread Control

IF the above answer is YES, they do not open even though I have the Firestaff, and I even tried to use it. Do I have to do something else to get the door open?

In front of the double steel door (which is the broken door of a partially buried building), there is a small steel structure (I believe it's red and white). Inside it, there is a shaft downwards. Go down and then go further down.
