can't enter Corp sewers

I have the key to unlock the manholes to the sewers in the Corprate district. I have found 2 of them so far.. but I can't seem to be able to go down into them.

I tried walking over the open manhole, crouching then walking over the manhole, jumping in.. nada..i'm starting to think it won't let me go down because it is not the right time in the game.. any help?

I found difficulty there as well. What works for me is to crouch, move slowly and look down towards the bottom of the ladder.Hopes this helps 'cause usually i'm hopeless with ladders in most games.

Yeah the trick seems to be to push forward as your over the hole looking down. I was expecting to fall down like in some other spots.
