I went for this forum because I guess there are still people out there who don't know the game has an IRC client built in and I didn't want to spoil that because it's still funny when people go in and don't realise it's actually IRC.

I saved before I started fiddling with IRC so I'm not bothered and I guess you might have found this already if it is indeed a bug but I'm posting it anyway just in case.

I hate those general protection fault things.
Anyway a forward slash is usually used before a command, like /help or /me, but I think that there may be an additional problem to cause that.

Yeah, I know. I was going to try commands with a forward slash but since that's a de-facto standard rather than de-jure (i.e. most clients do it because they're expected to but it's not actually a requirement of the IRC standard as it's designed) I thought I'd test it first to see if it would just send a forward slash.
