Go ahead and blame Deus Ex's AI for that.

I hope you are enjoying blaming DX AI Jonas, when you make your own game, you won't have something like that to blameJonas wrote:Go ahead and blame Deus Ex's AI for that.

Re: TNM Walkthrough- a WIP
Or knock down all N00Bz members, since that seems to equal killing them...Jonas wrote:The first major one deals with how you've solved the N00B mission: if you've killed either Master_Kale or all the N00Bz, you get the less-than-pleased PM from Phasmatis when you enter the Corporate District, and you don't get a reward from Winquman.
Then that must have been my case, since I did kill less than 40% on lvl 2.In other words, if you wipe out everybody on level 3, and the total casualties for those two levels equals more than 25%, you will still get a reward as long as you've killed less than 40% of characters on level 2. This isn't a bug so much as a design flaw. If we're going to fix the new DXI crash anyway, I'll consider tweaking this setup again.
I guess this explains the "bug" some people report of getting the pacifist award when killing everyone in Goat City: They didn't enter the Templae (far enough). Lots of people there...The third one determines how King Kashue and Phasmatis react after the ShadowCode mission, based on your collateral in Goat City and the Goat Templae, and it works exact the same way as the WorldCorp one: less than 25% casualties in both levels or less than 40% casualties in either level triggers a reward from Kashue.
Is it the one where he is mad for doing DXO and PDX all without collateral damage? Or even aside from that? You always got that line when doing a Narcissus run in 1.0.2, skipping both parts, so no chance for killing even .I'm pretty sure Scara has one for infiltrating PDX, but I can't be arsed looking it up right now.
Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?
Oh wait, I already got one...

Re: TNM Walkthrough- a WIP
I think the Templae should be removed from the criteria, there is no reason to go there after the goats turn hostile.Hassat Hunter wrote:Lots of people there...

Re: TNM Walkthrough- a WIP
It's meant to account for both, such that if you leave everybody in the city alive but go to the templae for some reason and kill everybody, you will not get the pacifist reward.Jaedar wrote:I think the Templae should be removed from the criteria, there is no reason to go there after the goats turn hostile.Hassat Hunter wrote:Lots of people there...

But with the current system, it wont. Just like murdering one entire level of WC is forgiven if the other lives.Jonas wrote:It's meant to account for both, such that if you leave everybody in the city alive but go to the templae for some reason and kill everybody, you will not get the pacifist reward.
Not?

Re: TNM Walkthrough- a WIP
My recommendation would be to rearrange things so that killing bunches of people in either location (where there are multiple locations) that would set off the "you are violent" flag.
If understand what was said correctly to be considered nonviolent I have to have less than 25% casualties overall OR less than 40% casualties in one location OR less than 40% casualties in the other location. If you changed those ORs into ANDs that would be a better set up in my eyes, though that might require changing the percentages to make it right (no idea on that count.)
[Added:] Ok, clearly based on what Jonas said I didn't read it right. I figured I had to be reading it wrong because it didn't seem right. I'm guessing that the first or should be an and.

Updated both posts (Jaeader's Nosferatu trick, more stealing at Raving's, the true pacifism criteria (courtesy of Jonas).
Since I broke the character limit AGAIN, here's ShadowCode and onwards:

Have you got RSI yet? You covered eveything in that section I believe and it was a nice touch to mention to heal the head damage caused by Shadowcode.

Updated to day 2, including a way to do the DXI Threads puzzle and NOT have your game crash.
It's really the opposite of the old situation...
