"chopper crash"?

I saw "Fixed an exploit that let you avoid the chopper crash damage if you skipped the intro cutscene to ABI. " in the notes, and don't recall any choppers crashing, let alone one at ABI and I played both routes. Do you have to screw something up to make it happen or what?

If you kill or knock out your pilot then Trestkon will have to fly the chopper himself. Autopilot gets him most of the way, but landing is apparently manual.
