Kylie
Why the hell did you arm her with a plasma rifle?
I have opened the mayor. When the power drops, go in, and go in, and go in like the US Marshal and his three daughters and we lose the vaccine!

I guess she'd have to be armed somehow. After all, it's horrible to go through life without any arms...ThisIsMyUsername wrote:Why the hell did you arm her with a plasma rifle?

Re: Kylie
Because all the cool kids got one... plus a DTS.
Scrap that... all the cool kids got a DTS, and any other weapon is secondary.

Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?
Oh wait, I already got one...

Re: Kylie
Because the plasma rifle is the ultimate boss weapon due to its blinding effect, and in fact that's all it's good for. Kylie should have the best possible boss weapon because she's the final climactic fight in two of the three endings.
The flamethrower is a close second, and that's what DD has.

Re: Kylie
But as far as boss weapons go, I tend to find the plasma rifle a lot more annoying because of its splash damage, its range, and its blinding effect.

Yeah the blinding effect does throw you out a bit, as you can't shoot/slash what you can't see.Jonas wrote:But as far as boss weapons go, I tend to find the plasma rifle a lot more annoying because of its splash damage, its range, and its blinding effect.

Re: Kylie
On the other hand, the flamethrower always kills you if you get hit unless you extinguish/heal yourself. And as an added bonus, it can't be blocked by ADS.bobby 55 wrote:Yeah the blinding effect does throw you out a bit, as you can't shoot/slash what you can't see.Jonas wrote:But as far as boss weapons go, I tend to find the plasma rifle a lot more annoying because of its splash damage, its range, and its blinding effect.

Re: Kylie
The damage can be reduced by the energy shield though, which I believe also prevents the burning. Incidentally the energy shield also reduces the blinding effect of the plasma rifle quite a lot. So I guess if you want the boss fights in TNM to be easier, pick the energy shield

They were easy before you changed *sobs* the phat rifle.Jonas wrote:The damage can be reduced by the energy shield though, which I believe also prevents the burning. Abom's a whole lot harder to deal with now.

Re: Kylie
Definitely agreed, especially since it got buffed so much in TNM. And it has the blinding effects, too.Jaedar wrote:flamethrower>all other weapons combined.
Assuming you even can, if you think to check whether you need to pick up a fire extinguisher or not when they come along.Jaedar wrote:On the other hand, the flamethrower always kills you if you get hit unless you extinguish/heal yourself.
Stealth cures much, especially when it comes to dealing with Abom. 2/2 now and he hasn't even gotten a shot off. Only thing I wonder, especially given the walkthrough, is how to advance the A2 storyline after he shows up at Abom's place. Do you have to be allied with the Llamas or just not fry him?bobby 55 wrote: Abom's a whole lot harder to deal with now.
Re: Kylie
Just emp A2 before Abom obliterates him. I don't know if you have to be allied to either cult at that stage.

It is on day two. So you can't be allied to both.bobby 55 wrote:Just emp A2 before Abom obliterates him. I don't know if you have to be allied to either cult at that stage.

Re: Kylie
I think I get the point of the plasma rifle being a boss weapon and all, but it's still a major pain in the arse. So much build-up for that one final boss battle and it turns out she just uses some shitty exploit weapon which blinds you for 2 seconds each hit. And considering the rifle fires a burst of three rounds each trigger pull doesn't help much as a fairness factor. Maybe you could just give her a lot more health and make the fight room bigger? That would at least give you some space to avoid the plasma.
