I can't leave the DXI ruins - elevator problems.

I find myself unable to leave the DXI ruins.

I have recovered the firestaff and deleted the threads.

On coming back to the elevator leading to the surface I find that it has already ascended to the surface. When I press the switch for the elavator you are lifted up at an angle towards the ceiling for a short distance and then you stop. The game does not progress any further or load a new area.

What can I do?

Well that's... fairly strange. It ascended on its own? What the hell...

Well, the obvious workaround is to type "travel 22_FCslums" into the console

No need to be sorry. I am not sure what is causing the problem. It happened on patch 1.01 and when I started a new game with patch 1.02.

I am really enjoying the game.

I have replicated said issue.

It's caused by jumping off the DXI elevator before it hits the ground, then stand under it, preventing it from reaching it's destination and getting it stuck mid-air.

"Crush on encroach" should fix that from happening in the future...
