Why don't you just change it yourself before uploading it?

Miauw!
Avatars are pretty. Making it easier than reading those silly names all the time .
EDIT:
@ DDL: Also, we got no nice HDTP tag already to identify us easier.

And how do you do that?Jonas wrote:Why don't you just change it yourself before uploading it?
Re: Avatar on this forum
Well, you open your image in some sort of image manipulation program, and resize it to 100x100, and then save it.
...right?
Because the display format is fixed to 100^2 max, so uploading a 250^2 pixel image and 'telling the forum it's 100 pixels' doesn't even make sense. Code does not work that way.

DO NOT USE M$ PAINT!
I used to resize images that way, but simply changing the size will only cut the image off or "expand" it by putting White space there, whilst a bit much for image resizing get GIMP or Paint.NET for it, M/\$ Paint is only for idiots and the elite.

It takes time to upload an avatar, and time is money, and I'm poor. Avatars are for the upper class who like to step on the peasants

Do you have dial up? When I loaded mine it took just a few seconds. But I guess if you have a time limit online every second counts...Jaedar wrote:It takes time to upload an avatar, and time is money, and I'm poor. Avatars are for the upper class who like to step on the peasants

Does this forum not automatically resize an avatar anyway?
