Ermm.. I'm not totally sure, but I think it's an old Deus Ex Mod than never panned out as far as I'm aware.
As for the acronym.. 'Ghost In The Machine' I think it stood for..
I could be totally wrong but that was my first thought.

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

It was going to be more of a 'movie made in the DX engine', as I recall. They even managed to implement dynamic shadows at one point, which was impressive as fuck.
Anyway, a lot of the mapping/texture assets were donated to TNM, in the end: PDX HQ, for instance (hence the sign at the front).

Ghost In The Machine
Re: How can we contact the old GITM team?
That's true and I need to meet one of the old team.

There's an edit button, and to cause less misunderstanding, there's a quote button...

I remeber that, wasn't it a mod where you ould wear different clothes and the storyline changed by what clothes you wore, like if you wore bloody rags you were not allowed in certian places like a nightclub, but if you wore a suit you could be allowed in? And multiple storylines that changed depending on what you did so you could have a virety of different ways to do things? I remember something to do with different factions you could join too

Shame it didn't pan out.

I've seen another Deus Ex Mod on YouTube that had Shadows and stuff.DDL wrote:It was going to be more of a 'movie made in the DX engine', as I recall. They even managed to implement dynamic shadows at one point, which was impressive as fuck.

At 0:45 (somewhat 44)
You can see that it isn't a shadow but a mesh with black texture applied, and it exists in 3d.

Re: How can we contact the old GITM team?
Um ... Hi?
I was a member of the GitM team. I doubt I could aid with anything game or mod related, though, as I was just the guy who maintained the website and wrote newsposts (whatever the project leader happened to tell me at the time.)
I'm rather curious why you'd like to contact someone on the team, even if I don't know what help I might be.
Some clarification about the mod: Ghost in the Machine was an over-ambitious total conversion mod for Deus Ex that I got involved in while in High School. It was heavily inspired by Shadowrun, or at least by the SNES Shadowrun game. As the mod became less and less likely, the project was converted into a machinima rather than a game. My recollection is a bit biased because I was very uninvolved in the actual development of the mod and was at best vaguely aware of the rest of the team (aside from the team leader). Somewhere along the way, we acquired a professional game developer as a map-maker. I believe he was responsible for the corporate headquarters map which became PDX HQ.
I suddenly realize that most of you have probably played more of TNM than I have and may recognize me by way of my GitM-associated game character. How bizarre.

tbh, I wanted to ask them a few questions but they got answered and problems resolved
