Opening map through command line

A refuge for those migrating from the fallen DXEditing.com and a place for general discussion relating to Deus Ex editing (coding, mapping, etc).

Opening map through command line

Post by Poor »

I need to start Deus Ex and have it load a map like unrealed does when you do play level. I looked at how unrealed does it and it does "deusex.exe Autoplay.dx HWND=2432256 -log -hax0r". The problem is I need a window handle. Is there any other way to do this or a way to get a window handle?

I dunno if it helps but the editor command line is "MAP LOAD FILE=<filename>"

Oh and there is also this thing. The DX Loader:

I think it comes with a README for instructions.

You also have the option of loading a map in normal DX with cheats enabled and writing "open mapname.dx"

I dunno what the nature of your problem is, unf.

That would be perfect if it was command line.
