Tack's Deus Ex Lab tutorials
hey guys not sure if these files are still kicking around, but i have compiled html files from back in the day that may be helpful to some. They contain the articles that were on tack's deus ex lab website and the universal constructor dx tutorial sites.

I fuckin' love Tack's and Universal Constructor.
If it wasn't for these there would be no Terminus Machina and I would still be watching old seasons of Charlie Jade eating krill chips.

South African TV series, one of the few cyberpunk TV series outside of Dark Angel. Like The Fringe, but not watered down and with giant megacorporations and associated individuals as key characters. If not a must-see, at least a must-check-out for Deus Ex afficionados. It's under-recognized IMHO.

Re: Tack's Deus Ex Lab tutorials
I'm ignorant regarding modern TV series mostly, though I hear I have missed out on some high quality shows. Gaming is my preferred medium by far, though one day I have to run through The X-Files again. Classic, and one inspiration behind the development of DX.SilverSpook wrote:South African TV series, one of the few cyberpunk TV series outside of Dark Angel. May check that series out though.

Yeah, they need to reboot X-Files.
Seriously, I love history as much as the next person but there needs to be more near-future sci-fi out there nowadays, other than just "Zombie Apocalypse". Forget the zombie apocalypse, how about the econo-pocalypse? How about climatopocalypse? Robotopocalypse?

Re: Tack's Deus Ex Lab tutorials
Thanks for the tutorials, great for learning the basics of SDK and making a basic mod/map. Used to have them years ago but good to have them again.
While you mention that and Dark Angel, made me think that some of the best sci-fi type tv shows I used to love watching in 90s and early to mid 00s, either got cancelled or never finished and this includes Jake 2.0, Odyssey 5 (which was never finished, got close to the end though), Tru Calling, Farscape, Eureka. (I would have included Stargate in this but it ran much longer than the others over different series and movies before it got cancelled, but I would have added a next season to Stargate Universe as I was just getting to like it when it ended.) Also Star Trek: Enterprise, feel it could have went a little longer before it ended.Yeah, they need to reboot X-Files.

Haha. Because this is a post 9/11 world. Those are suppressed topics. We're actually living the dystopia people were imagining would occur.SilverSpook wrote:Yeah, they need to reboot X-Files.
