Haha!
Was the main entrance to the Chateau like this on PC? Don't remember, but this looks strange, maybe just the textures?
The toilet here has terrible textures, doesn't lokk like toilet at all:
The computer room is different:
The tomb area is slightly altered:

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
The Cathedral exterior is the same, but on PS2 there is 4 of those smaller walking bots around it, I think there was only 2 on PC? Don't remember for sure.
These chapel textures are nice, but on PC, better.
Fighting against Gunther.
Room where Gunther was, bad texturing here and there:
Was this thing on PC? Don't remember it.
Cozy metrostation:
The metrostation is full of those small bots, how many of these were in PC version?
Began useless fight against this guy, he run out of shotgun ammo, so he started to use dragontooth sword:
Missile to the face:

Paul, I know you said no phone messages, but South Street's going up in smoke. We'll have to meet at the subway station.
Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Had some freetime again, so played through the Gas Station and saved Tiffany. I don't usually care about her, but I was merciful this time. The station and the area around it is similar to PC. There is actually only one thing I'm not so sure about.
This "attic" area in the station. There is 4 routes out from here, two of those are the holes in the floor (or the roof if you are below there) Quite big space actually. Was this on PC? I just remember some ventilation shafts to the roof? Might be wrong here again.
So I went to the Sub Base. Huge place, didn't have time to play it through, but did some early scouting here.
On the left, you can see this huge wall, that prevents you to enter the sea. You can jump over it if you have right tools for it. Otherwise you must go through the tunnel.
Here I'm standing on top of that wall. The buildings on teh water are quite different from PC. They are closed and not open from the "pier" parts.
Here is the wall from the other side. I'm standing on top of those building built over water.
All the tunnels have these windows on the sides, I like the design, don't remember these from PC.
You can't tell it from the picture, but the water looks JUST AMAZING in the PS2 version, not everywhere, but here it looks good when it moves. I kinda wonder why. All the other water on PS2 have looks quite bad, this is exception.
Underwater base. Yes you can swim there. Divers all around with their harpoon guns.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Had few minutes spare, so played through the upper part of this base.
The PS2 version is superior comparing the PC version. Few more paths to take. More enemies.
Just most of the textures suck.
You still cant access from here before you open hangar doors...
People can still see you through the windows. They cant get you from there... funny.
One hatch that lets you pass the whole area without problems. You just need superior swimming skills to dive to this depth.
Yeah, you just press that alarm there, it wont help you.
This room is the same. The hatch can be seen on the right floor.
Underwater tunnel inside the complex.
After the doors have been opened.
The subs look better on PC.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Part2:
Ocean Floor time.
On PS2 you can actually swim here. I wonder how JC can survive in such a pressure?
I know. He is augmented.
Few optional routes again added on PS2 version. Interesting.
Things are getting tougher here.
Swimming here outside, heading the second area of the lab.
There is this shaft back inside. See it down below the building (red light).
Shaft from inside.
Familiar room from PC.
Different texturing here.
Walton Simons stay cloaked after his death if he already was in that form.
Decided to kill him here, easier than on Area51 I think.
Next time Missile Silo.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
So time for the Missile Silo mission. Almost exact copy from PC, but not quite.
First few shots from the tower.
The underground silo itself is different. The 6 floors are made from solid concrete.
The missile colors are changed.
Next time Area51 outside and the first part of the bunker.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
First part of Area51.
If I remember right PS2 and PC both have pretty much the same areas after this one, so these might be the last pics from A51.. we will see.
Tower is almost the same:
Same goes for the bunken entrance. The second entrance (through the ventilation and water) is the same also:
The biggest change is the hangar. It is separated behind the walls. The walls are also very different, no fires up there:
Bunker elevator has different texturing:
Main elevator shaft, nice details. Little bit different than on PC:
The second entrance:
Drowned guy here, he is full of nice items:
Next time the last part of the game. Almost done here.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Time for the final stretch.
The lab reactor is little bit different, not much 'thou.
Same goes for Helios. Different design, but not much.
As I grab my last skillpoints, I see this funny typo.
Few shots from the rendered end screens:
Oh yeah. Somebody might be interested how my character developed during the run.
Well I had full items, all the weapons I could carry and tons of cash.
Here are my skills and weapons. Not much improvement can be made, as far as I know I missed only two spots that would have give me skillpoints.
My assault rifle:
My GEP gun:
My plasma cannon:
My sniper rifle:
And my skills:

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Thanks for doing this runthrough, it was really interesting to watch. I'll probably never play the PS2 version so it was really interesting to see how different it is. It's almost like the remapped the entire game.
