It's a good start with the director knowing a bit/lot about the game. If they can write a half decent script and get a suitable cast, then I think it should be okay.

Well the game was terrible so if the film is true to the original... do not count me excited.

Edit: also, we've had rumours of a DX film before. And rumours of many other films based on games. None of which were ever released. I wouldn't think too much of this yet until more information arrives.

A film could potentially be awesome, but the director's previous work doesn't make me hopeful. Hopefully a decent writer and director will take over the project.

Just because it's probably going to be better than a Uwe Boll film, doesn't mean it's going to be good. I have very low hopes for this.
