Hi! Seems like OC ReMix has its heart set on Deus Ex. Indeed they've released an arrangement album with Alexander Brandon:

Image
"In collaboration with OC ReMix, the world's #1 online video game music remix organization, original composer Alexander Brandon and the OC ReMix team have completely remixed and reimagined the slammin' sounds of the original Deus Ex soundtrack to bring them to you like you've never heard before," said Eidos Montreal's Adam Badke in an announcement on the company's blog. The album includes several heavy hitting OC ReMixers and game composers including Alexander Brandon collaborating with Jimmy Hinson (Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Mass Effect 2), as well as Andrew "zircon" Aversa (Soulcalibur V, Monkey Island 2 Special Edition) and Jillian Aversa (Soulcalibur V, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary) and many more.

The first thing to note is that the album is free.

The second thing is the curious distribution model: from the start (19 March) they decided to release 2 tracks / week. Maybe to get more attention from the Deux Ex / OC ReMix crowds,

The third thing: you need to have a Facebook account to download the songs. But hey! I'm not of FB. But at least:

1) The songs have been released for streaming on Eidos Montreal's Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/eidosmontreal/se ... gmentation

OR

2) There's Youtube

- Ma Chérie Nicolette (DuClare Chateau, Main Title). Just great, I'm speachless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4i16znER9I

- Siren Synapse (The Synapse (Hong Kong Streets) & Main Title). Amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuwTxVVxjcE

- Human Soldier (UNATCO). This is the only remix which got a bad rep. Honestly I find it sub-par. But hey! Itsn't not as bad as some people say, if only they took the time to listen to the song entirely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zy75zrITPQ

- The Search for Ambrosia (NYC Streets): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy3dr13cSgY

- Distortion HQ (UNATCO): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emgsUQN_YhE

...

Note 1: some of these tracks are worth putting on the original Deus Ex. Just saying...

Note 2: can someone explain the album logo to me? I don't get the meaning of the Artwork...

That was pretty cool. I would have certainly liked to submit a remix there.

Thanks for posting. My favourites have to be Ma Chérie Nicolette and Siren Synapse. I can see why people don't like Human Soldier (UNATCO), as one of the comments says (I only read the top one on the video) it sounds too like an original rather than a remix, probably why it gets a bad press.

Well! I thought the same when I heard about the 'Sonic Augmentation OST'. You can imagine my shock I realized there were no TNM composers for this project.

But hey! That doesn't change the fact that the TNM composers (as all the people involved in the TNM Project) kick some serious b***.

Come to think of it, they're not that many fan-made project which such a brilliant soundtrack as TNM. From my gaming experience (it's not much) the only team that come close may be:

The composers who made the music for Doom Icarus Alien Vanguard:

Doom Icarus was a fan-made mega-wad for Doom 2 released in '96. It may be old but, man! Some tracks stood the friggin' test of time, especially when you consider the technology available for the time. If I remember correctly the composers for this project called themselves Musicarus:

Icarus: Alien Vanguard - Face Of Evil: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi9E1m2_Hdg

Icarus: Alien Vanguard - Hydroponics (Redux): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lihZUGRpNp4

Absolutely! I might add Ma Chérie Nicolette is very inspirational, quite close to the original Deus Ex vibe.

This one is great, I had never listened it. The original by Michiel van den Bos is still my favorite, but this remix is great!

I remember finding this piano version of DuClaire Chateau a long time ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwmfV-a0Xuo

Granted, it is a cover not a remix. But nice nonetheless.

Hi ! Just to say the complete album has been released. It’s been out for quite a while now but I forgot to check (sorry):

Deus Ex: Sonic Augmentation OST : http://augment.ocremix.org/download.php

With the album come a .txt entitled "Director's and Artists' comments":

in this file the composers put their songs into perspective. It’s very enlightening, maybe you should take a look...
