Another informative read, cheers. At this rate I'll be playing DX in one form or another for another 10 years. :)

Was delighted to see that.

Justa thing, how can I subscribe? didn't see any form for that.
Heard of milchimp.com? you can hold a list there and sendo both manual emails and RSS-driven campaigns of your blog posts.

Also, if you ever need something wordpress can't do for you or if you already have domain name, I can host the blog on one of my servers.

There's an email subscription thing at the bottom of the page.

I haven't subbed because I think it would email me all your posts, not just the newsletters? So I thought I would write here to say I'm reading and thanks for writing, its a useful resource for keeping those of us who spend less time in the community up to date.

Ehum, HDTP doesn't have an update 3. It's just the beta from last year repackaged with an installer. No new content or fixed things. You are making it out to sound like it's a major update.

Not even that. Someone put the old HDTP files up onto moddb, and that's what the "newsletter" reports. Nothing new. But like was mentioned, I repackaged those files into an installer which does a few other things as well, such as install renderers (that was my main concern in the install in calling it "Test", it has about 15K or so of scripting behind that). You can find it in the link below.

I haven't heard anything about major errors or problems, so I probably won't bother any more with it until DDL does present me with some new files to put in the build. All I know is that it works splendidly for my purposes (out of box install, non-STEAM). Use and enjoy.

Eh, can't blame him really, as the naming of the beta packages can confuse. I'm confused as to why they were not compressed into one package, and inside this package lies the beta01, 2 and 3 folders.

What I can blame him for, however, is no mention of the latest news regarding GMDX. When it is finalized, hopefully within the week, it will be the business, if I can say so without looking like an arrogant ass (nope ;) ).

Yeah, the guy who uploaded to Moddb could have handled that more nicely.
