Off Topic Productions

Hi, I'm Labbekak and have been active in the Deus Ex speedrunning community for a while now (and am now also interested in running TNM).

At the moment I'm routing for a new Ultimate Run. I'll be mostly following Alginon's route but with remembered codes and without doing side missions, also I'll use a few glitches here and there. A rough recording of what I have now can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... UVZ5BuNF05. Once I'm done routing I'll create a segmented video like Alginon did.

So I have two questions:
1. Does anyone have Alginon's doc file with the explanations?
2. At the Shipyard once of the doors opens automatically for him, which doesn't work for me. It's here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-W3DmwL ... 03&t=3m25s at 3:25. I'm using 1.112fm GOTY.

You got to make friends with Vinny at the Underworld Tavern (the guy that shows up in the uniform by the bar) for that to happen.

As a bonus, Vinny's got probably one of the best lines in the entire game, if you kill Jordan Shea. "Someone wasted the bartender....drinks are free!"

I remember Alginon planning his run on the PlanetDeusEx forums. If you can find an archive of them somewhere you might be able to dredge it up. I don't recall how much detail he went into. The thread was called

Let's all help alginon with with his impossible(?) mission

if memory serves. Of course that was maybe 10 years ago so I could be wrong about the exact wording

Ah thanks, I've stopped with this Ultimate Run, I just didn't like it much, too stealthy for my taste. In the meantime I did a run of TNM (http://www.twitch.tv/labbekak/c/3962830) and I've continued with normal Deus Ex runs. Still this is cool to read through to.
