Replaying Deus Ex - Crash

I haven't played Deus Ex in a very long time, so decided on a new play through. This time I wanted to take my time and check out everything as I usually haven't spent the time looking at everything in each map I am on and just try to get to the next mission quickly.

That was fine until after I saved in the NYC clinic on the first NYC mission. I'd rather not have to restart the play through again, but there could be a glitch as the two guys (bums) that sit on the seats beside the doorway into the main area of the clinic, are not there (the doctors and receptionist at the computer were gone after I saved, but reappeared after I loaded the game) and when I try to leave the clinic, it says "loading" and then the game crashes with no error. Here is my DeusEx log. I am using Kenties launcher if that makes any difference. It shouldn't as I used it many times without issues.

I can't reinstall the game as this is a copy of the game I have on my HDD. Anyway here is the log. I wondered if it could have been the OpenAL audio, so as I had it, so I changed it back to GalaxyAudio in the ini and it still crashed. Anyone know what is wrong? I'd rather not restart the game again as I have got this far (I know its not far into the game, but still):

That looks like a clean shutdown, did you restart the game after the crash? As the log is overwritten each time you start the game.

Not that time, I just copied the log right after the crash. I thought originally it was to do with the save files being corrupt, so I started a new game and it randomly crashed when I was being shot by a NSF on Liberty Island so ti can't be the saves as the odd time the saves did work and didn't crash as I was able to leave the clinic on my play through, stop the terrorists in the 'Ton and when I tried to leave the hotel, it crashed on loading the NYC_Streets map. Keep in mind that Kenties launcher might stores the configuration/log files in a different directory, so you might have just picked the log file out of the wrong directory.

Fixed it. Found it it was the AudioDevice=ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem I had put in the INI that was causing the crash, so I set it back to AudioDevice=Galaxy.GalaxyAudioSubsystem and that fixed it.

Btw. looks like you use a pretty rusty version of ALAudio and especially during the last year a great amount of stuff has changed in ALAudio, including fixing the issue with hangups/crashes under high tp full system load (or if one does some foolish things, like to force the game to run on a single core).
