Wait, so the original DX design docs had a character named "Number One" in them?

This means that future generations of DX players who accidentally stumble upon DXN will think that I chose that character name from the original DX dev docs, instead of getting it from The Prisoner!

Damn, I should have gone with that mod about farting rabbits after all.

(Thanks for the docs, Joe and defaultplayer001!)

I was wondering if you could detail what you did exactly and what those empty folders were? Also he obviously made a mistake when he said "dvds" right? The only Deus Ex 1 on a dvd would be the PS2 version right?
It really wasn't that big a deal. The Deus Ex files that shipped on the CD (yeah, not DVD) and the files that were further exposed in the SDK are all freely available for anyone to look at, it's just that you get really well acquainted with all of it when you make mods for the game, because you need a full, detailed overview of every asset available to you. I haven't myself done any particularly deep delving into the files, it's more that we as a community have had a lot of access and a lot of time to look through everything and see what's left behind in the game files - which isn't much.

Unfortunately I haven't touched Deus Ex in about 6 years now. With every passing year my knowledge of the game fades. I couldn't even answer most questions about The Nameless Mod at this stage without looking it up, even though I used to know it down to the tiniest detail :?

God fucking damnit I still haven't played Nihilum. I really should get off my ass and just install a fresh copy of Deus Ex on another drive so I can run it again without the metastasised TNM contamination.

Thanks! I sorta figured that might be the case.

I'm actually planning to do a thorough analysis/compassion of all the DX cds.

Which is why I asked.
