Hey,

I just finished talking to Fender2k1 (of UNATCO: Reborn fame), and he showed me his newest project...well, I'll let you guys see for yourself.

Sounds interesting

My worst nightmares came true: when I tried to reboot, the BIOS failed to detect the harddisk. Saving the data on it turned out to be impossible - the electronics of the IBM harddrive were damaged beyond repair. All data on that disk, including the HOD data, was gone, lost forever.
That sounds unpleasantly familiar.

Wha? Not getting hopes up.

Is this a real engine upgrade for Deus Ex? Will it actually work? Bob sure looks fat in the new Unreal engine...if the above questions are "yes" to "maybe", can HDTP models and textures be converted to whatever will work in the new Unreal engine?

Not really, you only had to format your drive, which is bad enough, but mine actually died. It just happened a little differently than he described. It happened even more suddenly and painfully. At least we didn't lose the whole mod though, a few weeks' work at most. In terms of lost content, your format was worse.

When I talked to Fender2k1 he said that it was not defunct, and that after a month-long hiatus they were getting back to work on it.
