Everyone can get fallout for free on GoG.

You should.

In related news, its no longer good old games. Finally, a steam competitor which I actually want to see succeed.

OMG I can't get System Shock 2 on GOG. Now I have to resort to using hacky third party tools to get it to run properly on Win7

The "hacky third party tools" work pretty much perfectly and are generally lightweight. It's actually not difficult at all.

See: www.systemshock.org/index.php/topic,106.0.html

Installing is just a matter of copying a folder over and running a program.

yeah I finally solved that problem with SS2 as well.. So awesome playing it on a modern pc. The load times are next to nothing.

If you do co-op I highly recommend the Hamachi method. It was a shitload easier than port-forwarding.

ALSO HOLY NECRO THREAD BATMAN.

From what I recall SS2 worked just fine for me on Windows 7. Same with the Thief games.

The only benefit I've got from having an ATI graphics card. Most of the problems with the Dark Engine games are down to Nvidia's drivers.

Yeah that'd be great if that wasn't illegal and all.
I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be posting that sort of thing on this forum either.

Plus, Pirate Bay is blocked by my ISP. Not that I ever used it anyway as I consider it kinda wrong in many cases.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

It's barely illegal if you own a copy of the game legit(ok, it is still totally illegal but morally justified).

Morally justified yes. I can go with that one. :P

However, I'm at a loss as to why 'CUCUMBER!! DELETED!' is a suitable change to the previous post.

The block takes about 10 seconds to circumvent if you search for it on Google.

From where i am in right now, we buy pirated DVDs from our local Pirate shop in the city.
They got games, Xbox and PS controllers, PSPs (mostly pirated), and other fluff like that. (just dont tell the police or the former employees will form a mob and kill me...)

But i never see them have graphics devices... And that IS WHAT IM LOOKING FOR RIGHT NOW!
