Before they put themselves in a chrysalis and meta-morphed, weren't they having dealings in the part of the world the game is developed in? Perhaps it's a you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours thing.

1) They're both polish!

2) And..aren't the same people behind GOG also behind the witcher? Sort of tangentially, perhaps?

Anyway, who says it has to make sense? See 1), above. Polish peeps are awesome.

I think it's pretty cool. I like old and new games so I find it a good blend in retailing. :P

The fact that it's going to be DRM free is pretty amazing, I really hope it pays off for them.

The Witcher= CDProjekt

Hmmm... that's more than 'basically'...

Well, you're right about Gog, and somewhat right about twitcher, it was developed by CDprojekt Red, and published by CDProjekt. Kinda like saying BioWare=EA, hence the basically.

It's a one off and their pre order price is the same as Steam is offering.

Taken from GOG: Does this release mean GOG will introduce full price, new games?

No. We're still devoted to bringing you classic games with no DRM at incredible prices. This is a one time special offer to promote the great RPG by our sister company CD Projekt RED, the developer behind The Witcher franchise.

It's a one off until they realize how profitable it was/is/will be and decide to rename themselves GOod Games :)

I could imagine worse fates.

In other words: You're crazy if you plan on buying Twitcher 2 and don't take this offer.

More like Valve=Steam If I get the connection right.

Hahahaha! GOod Games.

Yeah I can't imagine we'll see a better deal here, and DRM free. If it's an "actiony" RPG I might get it myself. :D

The original was pretty actiony (the combat wasn't very good tbh, it was kinda like a slightly more openended QTE, like the combat is AssCreed. Servicable, but not entertaining. You get to be a firespewing god at the end though, which I approve of) and they've more or less said the second will be as well.

That would probably be more apt I suppose.
