Cheers guys, I think I may be okay for a couple of more weeks after working out an arrangement with my Internet Provider. I'm not totally confident, as sometimes things can get muddled there.

Thanks all. Yeah, getting a job would solve a lot. I honestly don't why people willingly go on unemployment here. I know there's lots that'd rather have a job too.

Added: Gee, with a guy at the supermarket going out of his way to help me yesterday, and having the bestest forum and Steam buddies, I'm starting to feel the Christmas spirit.

Getting a job isn't that easy.
I volunteer at the shelter though...

it's still relatively easy to get a job around these parts, if you're willing to do something mind-numbing or dangerous. Generally, the jobs that you can instantly assume are those that require hard, physical labor.

Some of us, uh...well, aspire to better jobs, and would rather be unemployed while waiting for an opportunity. I think that's the main reason people willingly go on unemployment when jobs are available.

I wouldn't blame anyone who's spent 17-19 years getting educated not wanting to, for example, mop piss and vomit off a floor. Crikey, I don't like the idea myself...but if that's the only option left...
