I just finished remaking the two maps of one of the contestants for the PDX map contest a decade ago that happened to stick out to me and become my favorite. It is called Break In and during a spurt of no internet long ago and some of my break time at work recently I completed recreating the two maps. I didn't bother messing with the conversations or anything so that is all original even with the typos.
I suggest playing through his original work then mine.

It takes characters from Deus Ex and puts them in a completely different type of story. For instance JC Denton is an ex-military who became a lawyer and had a child named Billy at some point. (the name of the generic child model) He wins a fairly high price court case against a mafia leader and that's when the story begins.
That was an awesome remake!
I'm glad I can't pick up my dead-son anymore, also that tub filled with blood was way better.
As you mentioned though, you should give rewriting the dialogues a go too

Also, I moved the boxes in the bedroom and half of the troops ran into the room. I couldn't get out without being shot. That didn't happen in the original. The map itself though looks really nice.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Because it was moved. If you did some exploring (by the way I really really rewarded exploring) you'd see it was in a locked drawer in the desk instead.
Also, that's a huge AI error in his original map. You essentially could run around full speed throughout the map and no one would be aware of your presence unless they got eyes on you. Under Reactions in NPC options in UnrealEd there is ReactLoudNoise (such as dumping a box on the ground while standing) and I have it set to True for all NPCs.
Damn it, i cant try it. My WinZip and WinRAR trial is over, can't buy it online due to my parents saving up for my Scholarship. And my car. And I cant believe that i cant find video cards and graphics cards and drivers and WInZip and WinRAR Software in this sountry.
This is KUWAIT!! Its a very rich country!! And they can't afford to put a sale on GRAPHIC CARDS?! AND FILE OPENING SOFTWARE?!

Bro... you know you can just click "Close" on that dialogue box and you simply use it like normal, right?
