Friends please rate this cardboard gift I recently made for a friend

Firstly I made a cardboard book with an ambigram of "Maria" and then decided to make a box to surround it

The shape of the box turned out well, but the doors on top didn't unfortunately. It was still possible to open the box even when "locked" so that kinda failed. This was fixed by using velcro later, but not an elegant solution.

The inside is ugly too but it was taking too long so I took shortcuts. If it was being made for me, much more care would have been taken. Like with my cardboard safe I made for myself if people want to see the pics

So yeah what do you guys think of this nerd present?

Well looks like it won't let me add these to the forum, they're "too big" so Ill add the links instead

It...appears to be a cardboard box, with a booklet, containing cardboard letters spelling out 'maria'.

If I wanted such a construct, I suppose I'd be quite happy with the one you've made.

My suggestion is to, someday, put this in an impregnable metal box and bury it. That way, archaeologists centuries into the future can puzzle over its meaning and possibly over-extrapolate information about our culture from it.

I agree with AEmer, and the idea from G-Flex is pretty brilliant.
