Bit too wide to post here.

I often have different wallpapers on each monitor, but I liked this one so much, I don't mind seeing double. It's a portrait from commissionedcomic.com (commissioned by somebody else though) over one of my own photos.

Ah, The Cassandra Project. Good stuff. I really wish Narcissus Entity had completed it.

His reincarnation will have something for you soon.

In the mean time, I notice a lot of you guys are using Vista. How's it been working for you? Happy with it?

My brother has it on his laptop. Suffice to say, I'm never touching that thing again. They changed the way a bunch of little things work, and it all adds up to one big annoyance. I can't stand Vista.

I luvs it :) No problems thus far, except the fact it's running in 64bit so I occasionally get problems with older games saying they cannot run on 64bit operating systems.

I can stand Vista, however given the choice I'd prefer not to. It came installed on my computer and since that is the only way I ever aquire an operating system I got stuck with vista.

This laptop runs on XP, so did the laptop whose monitor is ducttaped to this. This has and that had a stability I have not seen in vista. Vista reminds me of the forumplanet upgrade. I fail to see improvement and am left longing for bygone days.

(except for the drawing) looks like something I was using a while ago

Found it on Flickr, and loved it. I change desktops every two weeks or so, using retrievr to search for a color theme I feel like.

Edit: This topic reminded me, it's time to change ;)

That is one pretty awesome photo. Unfortunately you just can't make photos like that, you have to be there are the right time. Photography is so dependent on lighting, and when you're shooting nature, you have to make the best of the weather. Sunlight is good, fog is great, rain is often very atmospheric, sunrise or sunset can be fantastic, but the bland grey cloudiness that seems to make up 75% of the weather in Denmark just isn't good for anything.

I've been considering picking up an upgrade license of Vista when I order in a new Phenom some time in August. I just can't decide if it's worth it, especially not with Vienna alledgedly coming out next year. Similarly, I don't even have a DX10-enabled card yet, and now I hear they're working on DX11.

If you keep holding out for the next best thing, you'll be stuck with your setup for a very long time ;)

It's not just a question of holding out, it's a question of how much I need it. I don't need a DX10 card yet because my X1900XT still performs quite admirably (if it can play Crysis, it can play anything). I've played Crysis in DX10 on a university PC, and I couldn't really tell the difference. As for Vista, well... I'm pretty happy with XP, the only reason to upgrade to Vista aside from DX10 is that it looks cooler.
